season 3- cross country

Courtneys pov:

we are all standing on the playground im standing between josh and ash, however I see Eli looking over at me so I wave a bit while mr bell and mrs O'Brien hard talking about a statue and the new name of the school.

mrs o'brien= after a period of consultation, we are pleased to announce that the school will now be known as... she gets cut off by mr bell who says

mr bell= Elsemere, josh mumbles something about calling it fowlsbury. 

 mr bell=I have commissioned this statue, in a hope of ushering in a new spirt of co-operation. let me present.... 

mr bell & mrs o'brien = unity 

they then reveal the statue and I gasp in shock its horrible.

josh= that is proper botch 

then Issac turns to look at us and says 

I= this is your fault.

to which I look at him confused and ash replies 

A= what's our fault 

I= we didnt have statues before you posh kids got here. 

I looked at him weird and then look at josh and he notices a bruise on my face so I look away but I know he is gonna ask me about it later. I then zone out of the rest of the announcement but it was something about a school anthem. as we get dismissed josh gently grabs my arm and pulls me over to talk to him and ash. 

j= court you going to tell us what happened for you to have a bruise on your face, or why you didnt come over. 

c= josh its nothing okay I fell over thats all and I was busy doing homework. I lied. 

a= come on court you know we don't believe that, why don't you come stay at one of ours tonight. ey. 

c= well why did you ask if you already know. I snapped. and im okay alright I have to go to class see you later. I ran away to class before they could answer. 

once I arrive at class I see an empty seat next to Nero so I sigh and sit down. as they were talking about the anthem thing. but Eli smiles at me when I sit down but his smile flatters as he sees my bruise. before he could ask anything tho...

o= have you ever actually wrote a song? 

N= how hard can it be? my dappy cousin writes songs all the time. 

c= yh but josh is talented at it so it comes naturally to him same with Nathan. 

N= shut up Courtney no one asked you. I just frowned as they carried on their conversation.  

O= new skills have to be learned. it took literally moths of practice before I was awarded my dragon boating activity badge. 

we all just looked at him like what 

e= I heard this song once that had dogs barking instead of instruments. you should do that. I giggled at this idea and Eli smiled again and looked proud that he made me giggle. Nero gave me a glare and my smile deflates and I look at the table before he  looked at Eli and saying 

n= I dont need gimmicks to win Eli. I roll my eyes

E= its not a gimmick. and then starts barking like a dog.then he says dog music is the future. I giggled again and made eye contact with Eli he genuinely looks happy to see me smile. thats weird right? 

o= you will never win against josh. 

c= facts. josh is defo gonna win. 

N= again shut up courtney no one asked you. besides josh won't enter he's all im too cool for school anthems. I sigh and Eli looks at me with sad eyes then pulls a funny face to make me giggle again then he smiles. then he seems like he has an idea
