To put it in his words, it was like dropping off a kitten at someone's door with a note that said, 'this is a mistake.' It's not like going there did him any good than it would have if he didn't go.

He shivered at the memory of Cielle purposely cutting through his shorts to make it seem like a skirt and him having to spend the entire evening at supper being called the new 'hot scout of  town'.

You'd have thought it gets better once you realise they actually meant it.

It did not.

However she got off before the teachers got to pointing it out, and caught up to his side as they walked silently towards the end of the hall nearing their lockers.

Conner was planning on reminding Cielle that it was his birthday today, but he just couldn't get around to it, partially hoping that she would be the one bringing it up or partially because he didn't want to admit that she'd be the one to forget.

He caught sight of one of the girls who weren't particularly keen on interacting with Cielle and turned his back to her so he'd shield her from the latter's vision.

"What're you doing?" She asked plainly, "blocking you." Conner gulped and prayed to lord Esther hadn't seen the two, he was not prepared for this. Not now. Not ever. "Is she there?" Cielle questioned, rather stated knowingly.

"Yup" he says popping the 'p', "well then move you raccoon." She said shoving his arm aside, as she walked to her locker. She calmly cleared out her stuff as she put all her textbooks in her bag when she felt someone grab her arm.

"Forgetting something are we?" The red head practically spat, venom lacing every word that came out her mouth. "Who- me?" Cielle spoke, glancing innocently at the group around her.

"Yes you, you little cunt. Don't you think it's high time we had a chat?" The girl almost found herself snickering at Esther before she cleared her throat to ask her again, "I'm sorry I can't possibly have you walk through that sentence like it's fine-" she spoke in between laughs.

The red head clenched her fist as she crossed her arms "you've got something of mine, is what I meant you little-" Cielle cut her off, "- little what? I'm starting to think you're running out of insults Esther ,unless you're looking for a refund, we'd be happily obliged to make up for it by giving you the finest vocabulary in town, it seems the one you've got running around has rusted a bit 'round the corners." She said as she tucked in her lower lip and shrugged her shoulders.

It was in that moment, that Esther knew she'd had it with her. She lunged forward and slammed her back onto the lockers, "Don't even try to smart mouth me you tactless fool, I've got plenty more where this came from, now unless you've got another man-whore to cling onto, I'd rather. You. Back. Off." She spoke, harshly poking her finger at her chest in between every word.

Cielle almost broke out into a laughing fit once she'd realised who the girl was talking about, "who mean to- I'm sorry hold on- you mean to tell me you've been talking about Conner-" she said pointedly towards him, "-this entire time?!!" She felt her knees give out as she slid to the floor barely managing to contain her laugh.

Esther groaned as she lowered her gaze to the girl below, "you just think this is so funny don't you?!" Her cheeks almost flushed pink out of embarrassment.
