Start from the beginning

cherry kissed his cheek.

schneider nodded.

lydia continued to arrange the laundry.

"papito, i am so excited! we will spend the day together in the laundry room like besties." lydia grinned.

"yeah, i'm excited, too." alex smiled, and paused. "what happened to me?"

"aw, this is our first date outside of this apartment since you got grounded." cherry smiled.

"is a date really folding laundry?"

"better than nothing."

there was a knock at the door.

penelope pulled it open, a confused look decorating her face.

"since when do you knock.. and dress like american psycho?" penelope stared at schneider.

"i always knock, i'm the landlord! it's a courtesy!" schneider smiled.

"did you join a cult again?"

"everyone, i'd like you to meet my father, lawrence fitzgerald schneider."

alex and lydia looked up.

"very nice to finally meet you." penelope shook his hand.

"you must be avery!" lawrence shook penelope's hand.

"oh, no." penelope said.

"avery's meeting us in a minute. this is my tenant, penelope." schneider introduced.

"oh, thank god." lawrence adjusted his tie.

"encantada." lydia stuck her hand out.

"oh, una espanola! mucho gusto en conocerla." lawrence greeted.

"your spanish is very good!"

"escobar was an old friend. such a shame what happened."

cherry blinked.

"hi, i'm alex. nice suit." alex greeted.

"oh, thank you. a little boy like you made it for me." lawrence said.

cherry was about to open her mouth, and penelope pulled her earrings out.

"and who are you?" lawrence began, and cut her off. "oh, i know you! and your father."

cherry blinked.

schneider put his hands in a prayer position, begging her to jot say anything.

cherry looked right into his eyes, back down at his extended hand, and up.

she turned back around, and continued what she had been doing before.

lawrence shook off his hand, and alex tried not to laugh.

"so, this is what a typical unit looks like, huh?" lawrence looked around the room.

"looks like you 3 were about to check out our new, top of the line laundry room! run along, now. and don't give me that rent late!" schneider said.

alex and cherry looked at each-other.

what the hell?

after that, schneiders father offered him a bottle of alcohol.

schneider covered up the sad look on his face.

"i'm sober now, remember?" he reminded.

his father didn't really care.
