A Silent Predator

Prolouge

It was a rainy evening. A young tom slunk into the nursery, carrying some herbs. "Thank you so much, Stormwhisker!" A she-cat got up from a corner and trotted over to Stormwhisker. The cat had the most beautiful fluffy, tabby silver fur and one bright green eye, the other dull and cloudy. "You should rest more, Misteye. The kits are expected anytime this moon." Stormwhisker dropped the herbs at Misteye's paws then strolled off.

Outside of the nursery, a brown tom paced back and forth. "Misteye is fine, the kits are due soon. I'll tell you when she will give birth as Spotface will be there with her." The brown tom looked up, bright red eyes blazed in the light. "Thank you so much for telling me this, Stormwhisker. I'm sure the kits will be as beautiful as Misteye." He looked up to a patch if stars in the sky, "May starclan bless them with happy lives."

The next day was a warm day. The sun was shining through the leaves, and the occasional bird would burst into song. Inside Windclans camp, the tom was padding outside of the nursery again. This time, with a reason. Stormwhisker trotted out of his den to see cats anxiously waiting around the nursery as Spotface hurried into the nursery with a bundle of herbs. "Mudtail, what's happening??" Stormwhisker sat next to the tom with curiosity prickling at his fur. "Misteye is giving birth- you slept in!" Mudtail looked nervous. It was understandable as he was about to become a father!

In the nursery, Misteye was fast asleep on a mossy bed. Spotface had left her with 2 tiny little kittens. Stormwhisker trotted in with Mudtail and looked down at the kits. "They are beautiful.. what do you want to name them?" Stormwhisker glanced over at Mudtail as tears of joy flooded down his face. "I think I'll name the tom Sparkkit and the she-cat Silentkit! I'll make sure Misteye agrees though" Mudtail answered, looking proud of his 2 new kits. Stormwhisker left to allow some alone time for Mudtail to have with his 2 little kits.
