Chapter 25 Guilt

Min's Pov
We arrived at the Kim's family cafe an hour ago but we felt like we'd been there for a whole day.
"She's here" Sun said to me scrolling through her phone as she stood up to meet Kim

Kim's POV
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I said to Sun making her wonder what I meant
"In case we run into you know who." I explained further
"He won't be a bother. I made sure of that" Sun assured me
"What do you mean?" I got curious by what she meant
"I won't let him hurt you anymore" She said instilling a bit of confidence in me
We sat at the table facing the window
"I need to go home Kim. My Mom has some work for me. You'll be fine with Min" Sun announced hastily giving me a rushed pecked. She didn't even give me a chance to ask questions
After a fees seconds of awkward silence and nostalgia between me and Min. He interrupted by chuckling hard picking up his tea in amusement. I had no option but to chuckle too
"And to think I'll be serving my employee personally" Mr Hyung said bitterly to me at the table close to the window, that was Min's favorite spot or at least that's what I noticed
Min couldn't help but chuckle at what Mr Hyun said
"I could still help out if you want as a sign of good gesture" I offered a helping a hand
"We're over staffed but thanks for the offer" Mr. Hyun replied pleasantly
"I'm sorry about the falling out between you and Mr Kim Hyun Joong." I felt the sincerest in his tone
"That really means a lot Mr Hyung" I reciprocated as he left
"What your cousin did to me hit me real hard" I said to Min as soon as Mr Hyung left
"My brother isn't capable of true love" Min agreed
"Min he assured me he did" I tried to convince myself Hyun Joong still loves me
"After all the failed relationships he's had in his lifetime given that he's the one giving out the heart breaks" Min protested
"It's funny I seem to know nothing about his past relationships" I got curious again
"That's because his love story is filled with hate, jealousy and pride. For once he tried to steal Sun away from me" Min explained
"Right" I said sipping my coffee in doubts of my ex husband's love for me
"But to think that he would build a good relationship with you, I saw a future between you two but my brother always is at his best at being bad at everything" Min tried to view the bright side and that's what I liked about him
"Min you really shouldn't judged your brother. Everyone makes mistakes" I said to Min defending his cousin
"Why are you defending him after what he did to you?" Min was still surprised at my defense for his cousin
"No I'm not" I lied to myself again
"You still love him" Min said firmly as he could read my true feelings for Hyun Joong
"Min, all this is also your fault" I tried to avoid the question
"How's this my fault" Min got confused thanks to me
"You could've told me Sun never needed my help" I reminded him
"Well you didn't tell me about your big plan tying a civil knot with my brother" Min has a point. I didn't tell him about it. Maybe I should've. After all I fell in love with Min first
"I'm beginning to regret ever coming here. Sorry for saying that Sun" I said in reproach
"I'm happy you came" He held my hand on the table
"I'm really happy to get to know a selfless lot like you" Min was so optimistic and that's what I needed at the moment
"Selfless lot?" I wondered at his phrase
"I grew up in England remember" he reminded me again
"Kim I love you and I'll never let my brother or anyone hurt you" Min assured me
"Min..." I became speechless
"Sir?"
Mr Hyung called to someone coming in
At first I thought it was a rich aristocrats.
"Turns out its just my husband" I said out loud in disgust
"Are you alright Kim?" Min asked feeling concerned
"Where's my coffee?" Kim Hyun Joong asked Mr Hyung
"Right here sir" he responded handing the pack respectfully
"We could've simply delivered it home for you" Mr Hyung suggested
"You know I prefer taking it myself" Kim Hyun Joong said nicely enough to my surprise
He headed out without saying anything to neither of us
"He's so heartless" I said below my voice but Min could hear me
"I actually expected him to say something" I added looking at my cup of coffee as I stroke the mug in sadness
"Forget about him Kim. You need to move on" Min tried to convince me
We trekked/hiked back to Sun's place
"How was the coffee?" Min asked trying to make me feel comfortable with him
"It was great" I gave a short reply
"I know" I could sense a bit of pride in his response
"How would you know? You had tea earlier" I protested
"That was what my system needed at the moment. And besides that's not my first time of going to my family's cafe" he clapped back at me nicely enough
"Right" I felt nervous once again. I could tell he noticed my reaction when he held my hand to calm me down. The feeling of his soft palm chilled my bones that I couldn't help but grin at him. He looked so angelic. Why didn't I marry him instead?
"You know he actually brings the coffee home all cold but would insist on not telling me where he gets the coffee from" I said out of context to Min referring to my ex husband
"Yeah manager Hyung makes the best coffee in Seoul" he responded trying not to be affected
"Oh Min I'm sorry" I immediately regretted my statements
"There's no need to apologised"
"You lived with him for several months" he wasn't worried about that at all
"There's bound to be spark between you two but I'm gonna tell you it's all a lie. A facade." Min said to me and I could sense the resentments in his tone
"Min" I called out his name
"I'm surprised" I referred to his reply
He left me hanging heading to the front door
We got inside but Min was still with me
"What happed between you two. You've got the looks?" Sun could sense the energy we were giving off
"I'm sorry Sun, I need to lie down for awhile" I said to Sun heading towards the bedroom
"Sun I have no hope with Kim" Min said to Sun as soon as left
"Min you have to understand she's been through a lot. You have to give her time" I could hear Sun say to Min
"For how long?" As soon as he said that I closed the closed door leaning against it in frustration
