part one-partying

*takes place in season two at the halloween party with stancy*

*everyone dancing*
"woah there nance take it easy on the punch" steve said "get offff." nancy says sloshing her drink around. "o-oh kayyyy were done with the punch for tonight missy" steve grabs the drink from her hand. "screw youuuu." she tries to take the drink back. "no nance that's enough for tonight" people start to stare at the couple. steve starts to pour the drink down the drain if the sink, but before he could pour it nancy grabs his wrist and the drink spills all over her long while dress. everything goes silent and the only thing left is the loud music playing in the background. "what the hell!?" she walks off and steve follows

Nancy makes her way to the bathroom and steve follows. she grabs a white towel and puts some water on it as steve closes the door behind them. "Nance i'm sorry" the running water and the muffled music coming from the other side of the door mutes out the silence. "that isn't going to do anything, it's making it worse." steve says at he stares at the brunette girl. "let me just take you home" he tries to grab the cloth out of her hand.

"it's bullshit" nancy says "what?" steve asks "cmon let me just take you home" "no this is bullshit" nancy continues to slur her words. "what's bullshit nance, tell me. i'm sorry i really am" steve turns off the faucet. "no, no it's great. it's like we're in love and we're partying." steve stares at nancy straight in the eyes. "yeah let's party. we're partying." (silence) "thi-this is bullshit." Steve's heart drops as he asks nancy, "like we're in love?" he has the most painful tone in his voice. "it's bullshit." their eye contact is strong. "you don't love me?" steve says in a faint voice. "i-it's bullshit."

Steve looks at the girl one last time and then leaves. his heart shattered by the one he once called his own. it was official. nancy and steve had broken up.
