(I don't take it with pins...And even if it is pins it's not too difficult to remove them. Mehendi will have a separate females' section...)

<Mehendi word translates to Henna. Mehendi is a wedding function in Desi Culture>

"Are you comfortable doing it? Or just because of me while you're not okay with it?" Hadeed asked.

"I am very happy. I wanted to do it, you being supportive has only helped me." Yumna smiled and assured him. Hadeed nodded.

"Waise do you remember apne mjhy nikkah ke gift me aik Sunglasses dee thi?"

(Well do you remember you gifted me a sunglasses as a Nikkah Gift.)

"Aam sunglasses thori thi, maine branded lee thi international brand ki. Pehen ke cool lagtay, aur fazool me koi lrki tareef bhi na krti ankho ki. Apko kia pata kitna ghussa ata ha jab koi awein bol deti ha wow you have so beautiful eyes." Yumna made a face at the end, acting out those ladies.

(They were not some random sunglasses. They were branded, of an international brand. You'd look while wearing it, and no girl would compliment you for no reason. You don't know how much Angry I feel when some random woman says that you have beautiful eyes.)

"Apne b yahi bola tha" Hadeed reminded her that those were her first words to him.

(You had also said the same.)

"But you weren't married." Yumna told him hers was different.

"I wasn't married when others complimented me before our marriage." Hadeed shrugged. Since she bought the gift before nikkah, he was single that time.

"Han to hogyi na purani bat, ab hoti thi to hoti thi jealousy. Ab to nai hain na kanwaray."

(It's old now, if I was jealous I was. You're not single now.)

"Waise Unhy kaisy pata chaly I am married?" Yumna looked at his fingers. No ring?!

(Well how do they know I am married?)

"Apne wedding ring kiu nai pehni?"

(Why are you not wearing a wedding ring?)

"Mjhy wedding glasses mili thi, ring nai."

(I got wedding glasses, not a ring.)

Hadeed looked at her hands, making Yumna look at her hand. No ring, either.

"Mjhy wedding necklace mila tha, ring nai." Yumna held the necklace's blue-coloured stone in her hand, making both of them laugh.

(I got a wedding necklace, not a ring.)

"Likin ye branded ni hai." Hadeed wasn't an accountant at that time. He couldn't buy any branded one, and didn't want to buy it from someone else's money. There wasn't much difference in their salaries after Hadeed started working as an accountant but Yumna's salary was affected by the fact she was still an intern, and not a licensed doctor.

"Mjhy branded se zyada azeez hai." Yumna had a smile on her face while caressing it as she stared down at the necklace. Hadeed smiled and changed the topic.

"Waise Separate function ha kia dono ka?"

(Well is it a separate function for both?)

"Mehendi bs hoor ki hi ha, dr Ahil ne mana kar diya tha. Wo hongy udhr magar rasmon waghera ke lye nai, admio me hngy."

(Mehendi is only of Hoor, but Dr Ahil refused. He will be there but not for traditions and customs, he'll be with the men.)

"Mehndi hai kidhar?"
