He played with the locks of my hair before burying his face deep in my neck, planting a soft kiss beneath my jaw he asked, "Will you ever love again?"
It was a long time coming. He kept his face hidden from my view and patiently waited for an answer. I suppressed a sigh, I was neither irritated nor tired. But, some things are better left unsaid. Matters are to be passed over in silence.
In my hesitation, he found his answer.
