Hello world! I'm a sock.
I don't have a name yet, but I guess you can just call me Sock for now. Or Ms. Sock, Mr. Sock, Big S, Little S, even Sockie, whatever you prefer is cool with me.
Mrs. Diane has seemed to abandoned me. I had been stuck in the drawer for about a year now, and no one has come to put me on. And it wasn't until a corgi came to open the drawer that I was able to escape.
No way am I loyal enough to stay in there. I do hope Mrs. Diane is doing okay though, it isn't like her to disappear for this long.
I'm scared to see if I'd make it in this world on my own. Every time I've been out of the house, it's always been with Mrs. Diane. She would put me on gingerly and take me out for walks. She'd walk really slow with a cane and a limp, so there is always ample time for me to explore the surroundings. And I've been liking what I've seen so far. People are constantly greeting Mrs. Diane in the neighborhood and helping her with groceries. More often than not, she's met with a smile and everything more. I hope I can become friends with these people and they would treat me the same way.
Please be kind to me, world. I can't wait to explore you tomorrow. For now, I'll just curl up in my favorite shoe for a good nights sleep. I hope the corgi doesn't come sniffing at me again.
Signing off,
Sock.
