I carefully move my body with [Earth Magic] to bow.

This is actually the first time I have met him since I evolved into a Dragon from a Wyrm all those years ago.

He responds by linking us up with his Telepathy.

Maker: "Araba, I see you have used your Skill Points."

<I have, and I do not regret it.>

Maker: "Why is that?"

<For I wouldn't have experience such a glorious battle otherwise.>

Maker: "But when did you become capable of this?"

<...A tricky question, I have not given it much thought myself. It was a gradual realisation, one I did not see as anything significant for I did not have the desire to disobey you until meeting her, so I did not pay it much mind. Though I believe I have always been able to do so since birth, and I suspect it to be by design, is it not?>

Maker: "...Sigh, you really are as smart as Gakia says, no wonder he called you the Rising Star."

<I am honoured, but that title now belongs to her.>

The Maker is silent.

I do not know his thoughts, but I do know he dislikes change.

Should he consider me a threat to his Beloved for my change, he would no doubt eliminate me.

Maker: "Should I decide to eliminate you, would you resist?"

<Of course not, you gave me life, and through that life I was able to experience some much joy, like the battle with her. It is a debt I am happy to pay with death.>

Maker: "But this life also brought you a lot of pain."

<That is hardly your fault, for the System is built on suffering by that wretched D.>

The Maker is silent again, and I wait with the patience our kind is no doubt designed with.

Then, with a wave of his hand, I can feel my EP restored.

Maker: "D is now able to alter you, do well to keep that in mind."

The mere thought of that disgust me, but it is a truth I will have to live with from now on.

<My Soul is no longer mine only, yes.>

Maker: "Was it ever?"

<Well, no, but your influence is hardly an invasion one, for you care too much to truly violate us.>

Maker: "Such faith, but how would you know how much is my influence and how much is your own?"

<Does it matter? You make us as we are but it is still up to us to carry out our actions.>

The Maker lets out a soft laugh, a sorrowful one.

<If you think you have robbed us of our free will with the compulsions you have instilled into us, then don't, for we wouldn't been having this conversation in the first place if that was the case.>

Maker: "But I never intended for you to be capable of a decision of such large magnitude like this."

<And yet I did, so too can my kin, which makes it all the more precious that we choose to follow you regardless, is it not?>

Maker: "Heh, so you are wise too."

There is much pride and affection in the Maker's words, I am happy.
