Chapter Twelve

Author Pov

Y/n entered her room and got ready for bed, changing into more comfortable clothes. She laid down on her bed, grabbing her phone and scrolling on social media. That was until her peace got interrupted by her door opening, revealing Mingi. Y/n's breath hitched as she remembered what she saw only a few minutes ago.. "Can I come in?" he asks quietly, she slowly nod and sat up properly.

He walked towards the bed and stopped in front of it "look, As you know all of us do things that can't be excused. Most of us kill to stay alive, well all of us. I was..angry and I had to get my anger out somehow. I am sorry that you had to see that.." Mingi explained, while keeping the eye contact between them.
Y/n only nod throughout the conversation.

"I know that Mingi..it was just shocking to see that." Mingi sighed and walked over to her side, sitting down next to her and looking at the ground. "I really am deeply sorry Y/n. I promise you that you'll never have to see that happen again, not from me." Once he was done talking he stood up again but was abruptly stopped and turned around, looking at her again.

Y/n raised her brow and looked at him confused „What is it?" she asked softly as she kept looking up at him, watching him as he hesitated on saying something. „I like you and I don't want mess up more, so...let's try again? As friends for now?if that's okay" He mumbled a little, fidgeting with his fingers.

Who would've thought that a demon could be like this? Y/n smiled and agreed. „Of course, as long as I won't see dead body's again" Mingi chuckled and smiled too. „I'll do my best, and have a good night Y/n." He simply told her and left the room, closing the door behind him.
He walked down the hallway towards his room, upon entering it he immediately felt someone behind him.

„Seonghwa?" Mingi asked turning around towards him. „you really do like her don't you?ever since you two had a little chat through the ouija board" Seonghwa asked and sat himself down on one of the chairs in Mingi's room. Mingi frowned „Why do you want to know? You almost killed her" Seonghwa laughed and rubbed his forehead before looking at Mingi once again. „she's human. She's not someone that we're supposed to fall in love with Mingi. It's a miracle that our father gave you guys two months before he'd decide"

Mingi's balled his hands into fists, clearly irritated by his Brothers behavior. „Seonghwa, hurt her again and I can promise you NONE of us will hold back!" Mingi yelled at him. Seonghwa laughed and stood up, walking towards the door. „We'll see about that"
Mingi watched as Seonghwa walked out of his room. He took a deep breath to hold himself back from attacking his own brother.

2 a.m.

Y/n couldn't sleep, due to the events that occurred a few hours ago. She buried herself in her blanket, feeling the comforting warmth of it. She sighed and sat up, making her way to the window and sitting down on the window sill. „Can't sleep hm?" A rather calm voice suddenly spoke up, making the girl turn her head and look at the someone.

„Get out.." she immediately said, once she realized that, that someone was Seonghwa.
He smiled softly at the sight of the girl sitting at the window, the moon light shining onto her skin. „Why? Still scared?" He grabs the chair next to her desk and sat down next to the girl, leaning back on the chair and looking at her more intense than before. Y/n however didn't face him at all „of course! You tried to kill me! Now get out of my room, please" she still didn't look at him but she could feel the smirk forming on his face.

„Y/n.." he grabbed her hand and made her face him. She looked into the demon's eyes, trying to find the same anger and hunger she saw before. „my outburst is not able to be excused, I know that. Please give me another chance" His eyes locked with hers and all she saw was sadness. She blinked a few times before taking her hand away from him, shaking her head no.

„No. I won't give you another chance. What makes you think that I would-„ Seonghwa grabbed the girls arm and pinned her against the wall next to the window. The sadness was completely gone and replaced with the same Anger and hunger that made her so incredibly terrified. Her eyes widen, she tried to push him away only for him to push her against the wall even harder. "Y/n im trying to be nice. Forgive me , will you? I promise you, be with me and I'll give you anything you want. Reject me again and I won't have mercy"

Y/n gulped. "I'll take it as a yes then" he mumbled and smiled, pulling away from her.
"Well darling.." Seonghwa stopped talking as he saw the girls eyes drift from his towards the ground. Sobs filled the room, he slowly let go of her, confused. He grabbed her chin and made her look up towards him "why are you crying?"

"I..this is too much for me! I don't know what you're on about! First you're being overly nice to me and the next thing I knew was you trying to kill me! Now you come into my room being nice once again and then switching up in a matter of seconds! What is wrong with you!?" She yelled in between sobs while hitting his chest repeatedly. Soon enough he felt something that he never felt, concern and worry.

He watched as Y/n slid down the wall, hugging her knees. He furrowed his eyebrows and disappeared, not wanting to have anything to do with this anymore.

Throughout the night, Y/n kept crying. Everything that has been happening to her in the span of only a few days has gotten to her, she was scared, scared of what might come next.
