being in love is finding in the air
the smell of her perfume and
stopping in your tracks only to
remember that a perfume
is a bottle you buy in a store
and there are probably
a hundred people more
who smell like the sweet scent
you find in the nape of her neck
everytime she hugs you
and you hug her back
being in love is drawing hearts
on the sidelines of your notebooks
writing her name next to yours
and reading if her sign matches yours
being in love is thinking if she
could ever love you back
day dreaming and hoping
one day she'll realize you draw
hearts on your hand thinking of her
swooning and sighing when she
walks by cuz her hair's too pretty
and her eyes too kind
being in love and not telling her
is being in fear of regret,
in premature pain
but being in love is great
that is, when it goes both ways
when it doesn't, you only fear
you may lose someone
who, to your heart, is so dear
