The Final String (Book 3 of the Red String Trilogy)

Chapter 1

"By the way congrats on your coming out video mister." Nick pulls my chair out for me and I sit down and we all clap for him. Connor blushes "Thank you, thank you honestly everyone's being really supportive." "As they should be!" Hannah points out. Nick and I nod in agreement. "Shots for the table!" Tyler announces dropping the glasses down. "In celebration!" We all pick one up raising them high before chanting for Connor.

A couple drinks later and I find myself in the middle on dance floor Taylor Swift blaring through the speakers. I wave my hands around staying close to the group. We always had a great time when we were together because all of us acted like 5 year olds all the time. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket and I go to reach for it but Nick grabs my hand spinning me around. "Shake it off, shake it off" he sings terribly.

I laugh humouring him, I flip my hair doing a lame version of the sprinkler. I see Tyler pretend to be a ballerina and Hannah and Connor follow close behind. I giggle and back away from Nick just as the song ends. As soon as the music starts up again my heart leaps and I can hear everyone around me 'oh.'

"You're like perfection,

some kind of holiday"

I roll my eyes, I loved this song but it was always so embarrassing to be thought of a Luke Hemmings girlfriend. I was trying to make my own name for myself now. But was hard when 90% of the comments on my video were asking how much Luke was packing. But still I loved the song and the amount of press they where getting for it proved to people they where more then just a one hit wonder.

The youtube crew circles around me singing the lyrics at the top of there voice.

I give in singing along and jumping up and down happily.

I pull my phone out filming a video for me to send to him later.

They all dance behind me and I laugh blowing the camera a kiss before shutting it off and joining along for the rest of the song.

I stumble into my apartment at 4:07 and kick my high heels off of my feet. I hold onto the door frame and use the wall to guide myself to the bed. I pull back the covers and climb in without even taking my make up off. And cuddle in bed the phone vibrates and I groan unlocking it. The light makes me cringe and I rub my eyes. I had three new notifications.

School sucks with out you here to keep me company :( + when are u coming back we all miss u!! -Vana

1 missed call Luke <3

I sigh pressing the return call button and holding the phone up to my ear, I listen to the ringer until I hear Luke's ever so familiar answering machine. I decide against leaving a message and fall asleep with my ear pressed to the phone.
