I giggle then turn my phone off, Mason looks over at me and I just shake my head. He turns back to the movie and so do I. At the part that (young) Adam and Laura are at the office for getting into a fight, I start to cringe. Hardcore. I hate watching myself in projects. I turn away and bury my head in Mason's arm/chest. I feel and hear him laugh at me.
"Cass, it's not that bad" He says
"Yes it is." I say not moving. Mason puts an arm around my shoulders and leaves me there
A few minutes later when (young) Adam and Laura are at the Reed house I watch the screen again. I don't move from my position, I just move my head. At this part of the movie I had gone to my house so I never really met future Adam. I meet him later after the fight with the bullies in the park, where young Adam and young Laura are in the shed. That parts my favorite and it's just about to happen
-----In the Movie-----
(Young) Adam is looking through (future) Adam's things while (young) Laura is sitting on the couch watching him
"Oh come on. Hey Adam. Get out of my stuff and open the door."
(Young) Adam flips him off
"Put that drone down it will kill us both." He didn't take notice of my presents "Look you lost one fight. I figured you were used to that by now" (Future) Adam said looking through the window
"You could've helped you just stood there!"
"Christ you're so sensitive. Hey you had to lose that fight. You had to. Trust me. You don't go from being you to being me without getting your ass kicked, a lot. All the time. I'm sorry if I went to far today. Shouldn't have done that."
"Who's this?" (Young) Adam asks holding a picture up to the door
"Who's who?" (future) Adam asks turning around "Put that back. You put that back"
"As soon as you tell me who she is." (young) Adam counters
"That's my wife, Laura." (Future) Adam tells young Adam
"Yes?" I perk up. I wasn't really listening, I just heard my name
"We have a wife?" (Young) Adam asks, "Wait, you said Laura." he says pointing over to me
"No, we do not have a wife anymore" (Future) Adam says looking directly at me. (Future) Adam walks away, while (young) Adam walks over to me
"What did he mean by 'he doesn't have a wife anymore'?" I ask starting to tear up
"I-I don't know. But imma go figure it out." He says unlocking the door and walking out after his future self
-----Out of Movie------
"Aww Cassie, you were about to cry. That's so sad" Maddy perked up. I just giggle and continue watching the movie.
-----Time jump-----
We finally finished the movie and I currently have my head buried in Mason's chest cause of how much I was cringing at myself and Walker.
"Cass, you can come out. The movie's over" Becca says, I can hear the smile in her voice
"It was so bad. Why was I like that?" I ask still not moving away
"It wasn't bad Cass. Plus you just hate watching yourself" Maddy countered
"Wait really?" I heard someone ask but I couldn't figure out who
"Yeah, she absolutely refuses to watch Secrets of Sulphur Springs just because she has a part in it." Maddy explains
"Thank you Maddy and on the topic of changing subjects, how was everyone's dinner?" I ask
"1. we weren't on the topic of changing topics and 2. it was really really good" Tristan answered
"Wait we're all staying here tonight. Right?" Becca asks, we all nod in response "None of us have clothes to change into. Can we run home real quick? Just to like grab some clothes and let our parents know what happening" Becca asks
"Ohhhh, yeah. You might need clothes and stuff. Yeah I can drive some of you all but my car can't fit all of you" Brady answers
"I can text James, he won't care driving some of us" I announce
"Yeah he can pick you girls and Mason up cause you and Mason are at the same hotel then just drop you back here" Miguel clarifies, I nod in response
"Let me call him real quick" I say and walk into the kitchen. JJ answers the phone on the second ring
"What's up squirt? Isn't it a bit early for me to come pick you up?" He asks
"Yeah but Brady said that we can all stay the night at his house tonight, but we need to run to the hotel to get clothes" I inform him
"Okay, I can come pick you and Mason up" He tells me
"Well, Brady was gonna drive everyone else, but he can't. So can you also drive Maddy and Becca to their hotel? They are staying in the same hotel so you only have to make one extra stop" I try to persuade him.
Yeah, I can drive them to" JJ agrees
"Thank you so so much JJ! Love you. Text me when you get here" I tell him and hang up. I walk back into the living room "James said he can pick us up. He should be on his way now" I tell Mason, Becca, and Maddy
