Kabanata 18: Quality Time

Weeks had passed after Xan and I shared our first kiss and I expected that it will create a gap between us two but I was wrong.

“Felize! Let's have lunch together, hmm?” He shouted from behind kaya napatigil ako sa paglalakad at nilingon siya.

I smile and nodded bago ako tuluyang umalis.

“Good mood ka yata” Napabaling ako kay Evan na bigla-bigla na lamang dumating sa gilid ko.

“Ha? Good mood pinagsasabi mo?” I asked and he laugh, “Anong tinatawa mo?” ani ko at inirapan siya.

“When will you say to me that he's already courting you?” ani nito kaya napabaling ako sa kanya and there's this unexplainable smirk on his lips.

“Ha? He? Anong pinagsasabi mo?” I asked trying to act foolishly.

“You can't lie to me, Felize” he uttered kaya napabuntong hininga ako. I think I really can't. He knew me so well.

“Wala akong balak sabihin sa kahit kanino van” I uttered and he looked at me confusedly, “At bakit naman?” he asked, “I just don't want to” ani ko at ngumuso.

“The photos” napabaling ako sa kanya nang banggitin niya ang isyung iyon. “I know who spread it” he uttered and I nodded.

“Who?” I asked as my head knotted, “You know her” he uttered and it confirmed my hint, “Sinasabi ko na nga ba” ani ko at akmang tatakbo para puntahan ang higad na nag-edit ulit sa mga larawan.

She's really getting into my nerves.

“Don't you dare do what you're thinking” he uttered kaya inirapan ko siya at hindi na lamang itinuloy ang plano.

“I am eavesdropping them when she open it up to her bees and I didn't expect the reason why she did it” he uttered that made me confused.

“Bakit? Ano bang rason?” I asked and and stopped walking and so he is.

“She saw you with Xander in the parking lot in that same day and after that day, she start spreading it that's why everyone's been talking about you and Xan lately” he uttered and my lips form into grim line as my head knotted.

“Ano? Bakit hindi ko alam?” I frustratedly uttered and he look at me unbelievable.

“Sinong tanga ang magpapahuli habang nangbabackstabbed?” He uttered na nagpangiwi sa akin.

Oo nga? Tanga ko talaga.

Both of us fall into a deep thinking until the bell rang, indicates that the classes was about to start.

I heaved a sigh before I looked at Evan.

“Uuna na ako, van. Ingat ka” paalam ko and he just nodded kaya umalis na ako.

My day is almost well except that I keep hearing humors about those edited pictures of mine.

“Okay class, you can take your lunch” when our professor said that ay walang pag-alinlangan akong lumabas at nagtungo sa canteen where I saw Xander sitting presentably habang seryosong nakatingin sa laptop sa harapan niya.

I walk towards him pero nang makarating ako sa tapat niya ay hindi pa rin niya inalis ang tingin sa kaharap na laptop.

“Hey” I uttered to caught his attention and I did.

Kaagad niyang ibinaba ang kaharap na laptop at hinigit ang isang upuan upang itabi sa kanya but I didn't sit on it at umupo sa harapan niya.

“Felize...” pagtawag niya sa akin na ikina-angat ko ng tingin sa kanya and his pouty face welcomed me.
