The quiet serenity of the Haruki household was disturbed only by the steady ticking of a well-made clock. The oldest member of the family, the only daughter of the Harukis, slept soundly. Her peaceful slumber, however, was soon disrupted by a surreal dream.

In the dream, a female figure with hair the color of silver charged towards a man whose hair was the color of obsidian. As the two drew closer, their features remained obscured by their long bangs, but before long, their lips locked in a tender kiss. The young girl could have sworn that it was her own lips that touched those of the man.

In a sudden and inexplicable shift, the dream scenario melted away to reveal a place enveloped in a thick fog. The teenager, with the haircolor of rose, wandered aimlessly. At first, she heard her name called out in an urgent whisper. But each time the voice called for her, its intensity grew. Finally, the voice erupted in a loud shout, commanding "Roselie, protect it!"

The pink-haired adolescent awoke from her dream drenched in sweat and with her breathing rapid and her heart pounding intensely. She placed her hand delicately on her forehead as if attempting to cool herself down. Despite her best efforts to comfort herself, she found it difficult to dismiss the bizarre nature of her dream, and a part of her remained uneasy. After a brief moment of contemplation, she eventually made her way to the bathroom to freshen up. Upon her return to the kitchen, she found her mother cooking. Her father and two adolescent brothers, however, remained fast asleep and were yet to fully dress.

"Morning, mum," she greeted her mother. "Morning, darling," her mother returned the greeting.

As Ayaka completed setting the table, her twin brothers Kenji and Kenzo, along with their father, emerged from their beds and joined their mother and Ayaka for breakfast. Upon entering the kitchen, the men greeted their family with a simple "Morning" before taking their seats to eat. Ayaka, feeling distracted by the vivid nature of her dream, struggled to fully engage with her family. To shake off the lingering unease, she attempted to tell herself that it was simply a dream, though her mind kept wandering back to the strange events of the night.

As Ayaka and her family finished breakfast, her mother suddenly declared that it was time for the siblings to head to school. Caught off guard by her mother's sudden announcement, the three of them said their goodbyes and set off on their way. Ayaka, however, was still lost in thought about the strange dream she had the night before and did not notice when she inadvertently walked past one of her closest friends. "Aya, wait!" The voice echoed through the garden, and soon after the pink-haired girl realized that the blue-haired individual was now walking beside her.

Ami Mizuno, a petite teenager with short blue hair and equally blue eyes, was a calm, shy, and intelligent individual. She was well-known for her warm personality and always maintained a gentle demeanor, seemingly immune to anger. Ayaka, the pink-haired girl, had never seen her friend display any other emotion. "Happy birthday, Ayaka!" Ami exclaimed, catching her friend off guard. Embarrassed at having forgotten her own birthday, Ayaka shook her head, realizing that her friend had successfully managed to surprise her. Ami couldn't help but chuckle at her pink-haired friend's obvious surprise, and Ayaka couldn't help but laugh at herself too.
