Chapter 6

September 12,1955

Rose 's Pov :

Elvis and I are officially a couple ,we made our first hit which was a first worldwide hit. Since El and I skyrocketed to fame we made a lot of money and we both knew what we wanted to with our money ,I bought a new car while Elvis bought something much bigger . I was sitting on my bed when I heard my telephone ring .
"Hello ,Rose speaking "I said
"Hey Baby How are you doing "Elvis said through the phone
"I'm fine Are you ready to show your surprise to ya folks?"I asked
"Yeah I am I'm glad My folks don't have to live in Poverty no more what about how do you like your new car ?"Elvis said
"I love it except My mother insisted we go shopping which was her just wanting to pick out clothes for me which was super boring "I said
"Well ,I was wondering if you wanted to come by and see the surprise"Elvis said
"Yeah of course I'm on my way" I said hanging up the phone
*Time Skip *
"Elvis where are you taking us ?" Gladys asked
"Don't worry Mama We're almost there "Elvis said with a smile
"Well why is Rose following us ?"Gladys asked
"I asked her to come so she can be here when I show you this "Elvis said pointing towards a big house
"Wow who lives there ?"Billy asked
"You'll find out soon "Elvis said
We pulled up to the house and parked in the driveway I got out and walked alongside Elvis to the front porch .
"Okay baby seriously whose house is this ?"Gladys asked
"It's y'all house Gladys "I said with a smile
"Surprise Mama"Elvis said handing a set of keys to his mother
"No way you bought a house awesome !"Billy exclaimed
"Well go on check out your new home "I said holding Elvis's hand
Gladys unlocks the door and we each step inside the house taking in the beautiful interior design.
"Wow ,This is beautiful son "Vernon said
"Yes, very nice "Dodger said
"There's plenty of room for all of us "Elvis said
"How many bedrooms?"Billy asked
"Eight bedrooms there are three that are master bedrooms "Elvis said
"Cool so which one is mine ?"Billy asked
Elvis looked at me then back at Billy
"What are you talking about ?"Elvis asked confused
"You said that there are three Master Bedrooms ,so which one is mine ?"Billy said
"Neither the three Master bedrooms are for Dodger ,Mama and Daddy , and Myself you get one of the other bedrooms " Elvis said
"Wait that's not fair how come you get the Master bedroom and I don't"Billy said crossing his arms
"I can give you two reasons why reason number one : I'm the oldest Reason two :I bought the house " Elvis said with a smirk
"Ugh fine "Billy said With a pout

"Hey, Billy, it's not so bad. You get your own room, and we can decorate it however you want," I said, trying to cheer him up.

"Yeah" Elvis added.

Billy's face lit up, and he smiled. "Yeah, that sounds cool. Thanks, guys."

As we continued to explore the house and plan out their new life, I couldn't help but feel grateful to be a part of Elvis's life and to witness such a special moment for his family. It was moments like these that reminded me of why I loved him and why we were meant to be together.
