It was 9:05 AM in welding class. I was looking out the window, the trees blooming, from crusty yellow grass to a new patch of green. Soon it would be spring. All I could worry about is my term paper due tomorrow morning. Certainly, I could call Ava and she would help me. She's always been very helpful.
After 30 minutes, the teacher walked in, late as usual. he's only here because his wife cheated on him and he has no place to go. I glanced over at him. The smell of old alcohol makes me gag. Of course, we have one of those teachers who stay up late watching football and drinking. We don't just have one, we have multiple. Nancy, who hooks up with the football coach. Joe, the principal whose wife is in the hospital from a car accident a couple of weeks ago. Anyways... We don't do much at Yellowstone High school, you see. The same old boring shit that happens every day.  Only Ava is my escape, she makes everything better with her sweet, angelic smile. She's quite the character to ask for advice when you need it. Of course, she's not a cheerleader dating the captain of the football team. She's just a simple lady. Only if she knew how I felt about her.
I got quite carried away there, if I talk about Ava too much I tend to zone out and make scenarios in my mind. Enough about her. I have to finish my welding project. Welding may seem fun and all, but it's just cuts and bruises all period long. the rusty tongs you have to use over and over just to flip the hot lava. (I don't know what it's called) We need a renovation around here in this pity town. especially the library, there are cracks and crevices everywhere in the walls... the ceiling. It's disgusting what we teenagers have to go and look at till 3:45 PM.
The bell rang, finally. Maybe I'll see Ava in the halls during the passing period. Her beautiful long, silky brown hair and her eyes are what catch people the most. They're brown with a hint of hazel on the right eye. If only you could imagine her in real life. it'd be like dressing up in a pageant doll. I did it again, didn't I? I zoned out again, talking about Ava. I completely zoned out I didn't even get a chance to look for her. If I didn't see her in the halls I'll certainly see her at lunchtime. My next period was math, I hate math, It's not that I'm bad at it. It's in the morning, and my brain doesn't even comprehend the stuff.
"Shoot," I mutter under my breath. "I forgot we had a math test today! If I wasn't worrying too much about my term paper tomorrow morning I would've studied for that also. I'm so dumb sometimes." I slam my bag by my assigned seat. in the back. away from everyone. except there's one little problem. Ava's enemy, Summer, sits in front of me. If Ava hates her, so do I! I mean why would someone like her, In the summer of 7th grade she leaked Ava's dad's will. and what he wanted to give ava, which was not much, since she wasn't the most liked out of the three of them. Ava was humiliated. She didn't want anyone to know her father didn't pass down anything to her besides his watch. Who gives a girl a WATCH? Anyways... Moving on, I hope Summer isn't here today. I didn't even mention that she has a crush on me. It's not like Regina George's crush... Just a little one. I hope!
It was about lunchtime, I couldn't wait. Not just because Ava was there but because she always tells me about her day. Even if it's just the morning. I love to hear her talk about her days, they are somewhat fascinating to me. Sometimes they'll be sad and heartbreaking but always half the time they are beautiful, strong, and elegant. The bell rang. I quickly grabbed my bag and headed to the cafeteria. I couldn't wait to eat. Even if the good is bad. But today was chicken fajitas, My favorite. I even saw Ava! She's in line with her girlfriends (yk, girls as friends, who talk and boys and first-timers at sleepovers) My friend, Dylan. Came up to me and asked... "Yo, Can me and Mia sit with you and Ava today at lunch?" ... "Of course. I don't think Ava will mind." I glance at her to see what she's eating. "Cool dude. Me and Mia are just gonna sneak behind you." He laughs. I chuckle a little bit. I grabbed my black tray so the lunch ladies can put the chicken fajitas on. I went thru the salad bar and got, cucumbers, tomatoes and oranges, along with chocolate milk. We get desserts after. I put in my lunch number and went to find Ava. She waved her hand in the air so that I could find her. "Hey Ava! How was your morning?" I asked. "It was great! But I'm sooo hungry." Her beautiful voice is so soothing to me. She put her hair up into a low ponytail. I watch her do it. She made eye contact with me. Dylan came along and broke it. "Hey guys! I'm Mia, Dylan's girlfriend." Her voice sounded high pitched, but I'm going to have to get used to it. Ava and I say hello. "It's nice to meet you Mia! I'm hoping we can be friends." Ava says with a nice smile on her soft, smooth face. I love her. I know she's my soulmate. I finish eating my food so I can focus on Ava. Dylan and Mia are talking and I'm just admiring Ava. "Jack? What are you doing! Stop looking at me!" She demands. I get out from zoning out. "Sorry Ava. I zoned out. I know you hate when people watch you eat. But I'm not just a 'person'" I wink. I totally thought that was flirt-able. I'm not good with flirting. My rizz is not good. Probably should go to rizz academy. (*GUYS IM SO SORRY, I DON'T KNOW HOW A GUY ACTS:(*)
