I've been kidnapped by a cult.
Strapped to a stone table, the cold seeps through the thin white dress they've forced on me. The fabric scratches my skin, the dress revealing.
I'm an offering to their god.
"Ho Dark Lord. We present to you this girl as an offering," The cult leader says. He started chanting.
The words are in a language I don't recognize. The people in the room join him, voices raised. The candles start to flicker, and the walls begin to shake.
I pull on my restraints, panicked. They don't give.
As the voices start to a crescendo, I say the only thing that comes to mind.
"Ho Dark Lord, I give these cultists to you as my offering. Spare me!" I shout the last part, voice breaking with fear.
The cultists go pale, eyes darting to their leader.
"What have you done?" He whispers.
The words barely make it out of his mouth before his eyes roll back in his head. His body- and everyone else's- starts to shake. Dark tendrils of smoke pour out of their open mouths, winding its way around their bodies until they disappear from sight.
When the smoke clears, all that's left of the cultists are pools of blood on the floor.
A deep voice resonated around the underground chamber.
"I haven't had a meal like that in a long time."
More black smoke fills the room. A man steps out of the smoke. He wears a tight-fitted all-black tuxedo, his dark hair combed back out of his face.
"Thank you," He says to me. It's the same voice that shook the chamber just moments before.
"Y-your welcome," I managed.
Every one of my muscles is tense. Cold sweat rolls down the side of my face.
The man takes a few steps to the altar, leans over, and licks the sweat from my forehead.
I flinch.
He laughs. "There is nothing to worry about, I am quite full, love."
"Can you...untie me?" He does so with a snap of his fingers, vanishing my restraints.
"What do you want from me?" I ask. My voice quivers. I don't care; let him know I'm afraid.
He grins, "the question is, love, what do you want from me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance," He tips a pretend hat, not answering my question, "I am the devil, and I am in your debt."
Well, shit.
"So I ask again, love," the devil smiled, "what do you want from me?"
Nothing came to mind. There was really nothing that I wanted. I had everything that I needed back at home.
I thought of something then.
"Take me home, please," I asked.
He frowned. "That's it, nothing else? Money, career, Revenge. Anything you want, and it's yours."
The devil sighed, "very well."
He snapped his fingers and suddenly I was sitting on my bed instead of on a stone altar.
"Thank you," I said politely.
He only nodded, looking at my room.
My room was a master bedroom, with a full bath and shower attached. My father gifted it to me a year ago, and I still do. I still had not grown tired of the large empty house. I found it comforting, and peaceful. My cat kept me company aplenty anyways. Never did I feel alone.
