This is a basic-particular concepts of an omegaverse. If you already know them, you can skip this part. If you don't, it's important to read cuz otherwise you'll get like "the hell's this shit?" so, this is it:

Second Gender: In this universe, human beings have two genders: the first one's that we all know at birth: male and female. Second gender will be known at the age of 13-15; it can be alpha, beta or omega.

Alpha: The strongest gender of the three ranges. An alpha human will undoubtedly be stronger and more intelligent than the other two genders; therefore, they're considered the elite of society, the leaders, the heads.

Beta: The most common of the three, they're basically ordinary, standard people. They can stand out with hard work, sure, but never more than an alpha.

Omega: Omegas are usually smaller, physically talking. They're not socially appreciated, don't have high positions and their role is basically take care of home, since they're the most fertile species of the three genders. They're usually seen just useful to have babies.

Scent: Characteristic of just alphas and omegas to have a particular smell. This scent is released from the scent glands –which will be found on the neck and wrists–. It's an aroma that has the function of attracting, repelling, or informing your mood, depending on the pheromones in the smell.

Pheromones: What is released with the scent, the two genders have different types; omegas produce attracting, calm and emotional pheromones, while the alphas produce those plus dominant, repelling and submissive ones. Betas have no scent nor pheromones, but can smell and detect those of an alpha or omega.

Alpha Voice: The alphas, in addition to being able to control through pheromones, can directly subdue and order if they use their alpha voice. When using it, whoever listens, will automatically enter a state of submission, and will do what they're told without even being able to resist. This voice also works on other alphas, but only on those who have more power over the other.

Claws and fangs: In this universe, humans generally have these. Those of the alphas will be long and large, betas also have them in lesser size, and those of the omegas are barely seen. As is, can be hidden and shown when necessary. They're regularly used for defense, protection, intimidation or just to beat the holy shit out of a random.

Heat: Characteristic of only omegas. It's a period of time in which the omega unconsciously search for a mate if they're not yet marked, and fertilization if they already have an alpha. This period lasts three to five days for every one-three months, depending on the person. Going into heat is extremely painful, the stomach burns, the omega only wants to have intimacy, their entrance dilates and by nature secretes a lubricating liquid –called slick– ready for any nearby alpha.

Rut: Characteristic of only alphas, it's basically heir "heat". In this period of time the Alpha basically just wanna fuck. Rut lasts from one to three days, for every six-eight months. An alpha in rut is uncontrollable, if they don't have a marked omega will use any nearby to please themselves and can even mark the person. Their behavior is extremely violent, pheromones and scent are out of control, and basically an alpha in rut is scary as fuck, since they are not conscious of their actions, they're fully in animal state.

Mark: Bond between an alpha and omega. The mark is concluded since the moment the alpha bites the scent gland on the neck of the omega and releases a special venom. When the mark scars it's commonly said they're "bonded", since the venom introduced in the gland directly attaches one with the other: both in body, emotions and soul. Plus to this, the omega stops identifying any other pheromones, only their alpha's, just as everybody else stops recognizing the omega's pheromones –they can only smell their gender's scent–. As for the alpha, they do can still recognize pheromones, but stop feeling sexual satisfaction with any other than their marked omega. Alphas can mark as many omegas as they want.

Scent marking: When omega and alpha are dating, or they're mates already and there's no bite yet, they usually mark each other this way. It consists on rubbing their necks, one against the other to combine pheromones and impregnate those of their partner. It's like marking territory. Mates that has the bite mark must do this obligatorily, just to constantly claim their partner. Otherwise, the lack of the bond could make either of them emotionally relapse.

Knot: An alpha, at the end of the orgasm, can knot with the omega they're fucking with. The knot consists on inflate the base of the dick, lasting several minutes inside to guarantee pregnancy.

Nest: During pre-heat, omegas build a nest to feel safe and comfortable for their heat days. It's basically made up of a bunch of sheets, pillows, and clothes with scents, either from their alpha or the one they intend to mate with. If they don't have any considered to be their alpha, they use clothes with scent of their relatives or appreciated people, so their smell calms them during heat.

Suppressants, inhibitors and Scent blockers: Suppressants are pills or meds to lower, control or cut the heat or rut of the alpha or omega; inhibitors are stronger meds that retain or lower the pheromones production and the normal cycle of the generes; scent-blockers are sprays or ointments put on the wrists and neck so their scent don't come off. Usually only used by omegas, alphas hate using any of it.
