Days past and you knew that authorities were searching for you, little did they know that it was only you as a human they wanted, not any animal of some kind.

You still thought of a way you could be part of a family that may accept you.

By being their own pet.

You went through many houses that might want pets.

You were some breed of dogs at some houses, cats, fish, insects or even songbirds but one issue was always at fault. And it was the sole reason you kept getting kicked out.

You spoke normally each time someone approached you, especially children as they spouted things you would say or tell of course it would make adults suspicious of you. So they asked you if they talked and since you were only 10 years old you weren't able to outsmart adults for common sense.

One dark rainy day however you spectated a funeral taking place in a nearby house in crow form on your favorite branch, you were curious about it since you never went outside much at the orphanage.

You couldn't help but see 2 kids who were your age and another one who was slightly younger than the others.

"Wanna play hide and seek? it's getting boring and I don't want to be left alone" A boy with light brown hair asked asked

"Very well. I was getting tired of looking at depressed faces anyways." A girl with dark braided hair solemnly told

"Your it Wednesday! So you count!" The younger boy with the scrawny face pointed to the girl named Wednesday

"You best hide before I come at you like a piranha." Wednesday spoke as she closed her eyes and counted against the house wall

No adults were around so you flew a little closer to the kids playing you were on the rooftop of the house but you didn't want to interfere just yet.

The scrawny little boy hid behind the house but almost right in Wednesday's line of sight to her left. The other boy though climbed into a big black box twice his size but enough to fit himself in as something was already inside, you couldnt make out what it was but you shrugged it off. He then shut the door to the box he hid in.

One adult came out of the house with a red button in their hand as the rest of the adults stood on the porch.

"Dear aunt, may you rest in peace." The man with the red button in hand pressed it. It activated a contraption that moved the big black box the boy was hiding in. The man soon tossed the red button away like garbage.

"Help! I can't get out!" The boy's muffled shouts you could hear and you were anxious to do something.

"They don't look like they'd tattle on me. But their friend is in trouble! I'd better tell them!" You whispered to yourself

"100. Be ready here I am. Pugsley. I see you there." Wednesday had already found the younger boy with in seconds

"How'd you see me?!" The young boy Pugsley was in shock

"Big sisters know where their little brothers lurk." Wednesday smirked

You took your chance and flew over to them.
