The Only Exception

Rinig ko ang kanyang mga hakbang at nandito na s'ya sa harapan ko. "Bakit, ate? Anyare?" nagtatakang tanong n'ya.

"Your good at decorating, so choose," I pointed the Christmas balls at the floor. She narrowed her brows and scoffed. "Black and white? Really?"

"'Yan ang nasa isip 'ko e," I pouted while looking at the Christmas balls. Avyanna rolls her eyes and looked at the Christmas Tree, she tilted her head thinking about what Christmas ball color will suit.

"'Kung anong kulay sa mga tree dapat ganon din sa balls." sabi n'ya tumingin pa rin sa Christmas tree.

"Okay," I sigh in defeat.

She's good at decorating when it comes to Christmas. At ako naman magaling lang ako sa ginaganon lang. I will take that as a joke.

She's good at her studies except for Mathematics. That's her weakness and for me also. But little by little unti-unti ko nang naiintindihan ang Math. Ganon lang.

Kaso 'yung mga sagot ko puro mali boogsh.

Avyanna stood up para kunin 'yung ibang Christmas balls. Nung kinuha niya 'yong box laman nang Christmas balls agad na s'yang kumuha ng mga kulay na nasa sa mga Christmas Tree.

While looking at my sister lovingly, I wonder who's lucky will win her heart for infinity.

I just my sister to be happy with someone and that's all I need for this Christmas.

After we decorate the Christmas tree I heard my phone ding a notification. I was confused no one's texting me except for my family.

Lumakad ako sa lamesa kung saan naka lagay 'yong phone ko. Tinignan ko kung sino nag-text sa akin.

At doon na gumuho ulit 'yung mundo 'ko.

It's my ex.

Yes, I had an ex.

I was immature while he was mature. All I could think about was my past and not our relationship. He was willing to fight for both of us and I wasn't.

I have my side also. It's also my fault. I was too focused on my past and not him, he always understood my situation. And I don't deserve him. I don't.

But here's one thing he doesn't know. He's my only exception.

He was the one I loved. He showed me and treats me like a queen but I was the opposite. I treat him like a shit person and give him mixed signals.

And now, he texted me. He wants to see me. But I'm too scared to face him.

Avyanna noticed my behavior she walk closer and snatched my phone. She gasped in shock. "Girl, it's your ex! And he wants to see you! Oh my gosh!"

Yes, they know.

I'm such an idiot.

I grabbed my phone from her hand and turned it off. Avyanna couldn't believe my behavior. "Tanga! Ito na 'yung chance para i-explain ang lahat!" inis n'yang sabi.

I'm not ready.

"I'll text him na lang kung handa na ako," matapang 'kong sabi.
