Hello? She said in a questionable tone

Tracy! It's me rod I was wond-

Eeee!! Rod! What's up?

Did I happen to leave a locket there at the roller rink?

Locket?...Oh yah! I found it on the floor after you left! I wanted to call but then I remembered I didn't have your number! She laughed a little

Oh thank god!

What's this locket for anyway is it one of those ones that open up?

Wait Tracy!

Oh my. You were not lying when you said you don't have a girlfriend...

Tracy I'm.

No I'm so so sorry I even flirted with you! If I had know you were I mean I am I mean I'm so sorry rod.

No it's ok tracy really I was going to end up telling you either way I took no offense to it sure I was a little uncomfortable but I know your intentions were not bad.

Hey we might have got off a weird start and have met a few hours ago but maybe we can still be friends? She said with a bit of guilt in her voice.

Of course! I'd love to I hardly have any as it is.

Aw come on I don't believe that!

It's true tracy I swear!

Mhm well are you going to come back for the locket?

Yes yes I'll be there soon alright!

Alright see you soon rod!

I smiled as I hung up the phone I ran back to the bus stop and waited for the next one.

*few bus ride later*
I ran up to the roller rink and entered it a bit out of breath.

Tracy ran to me.

Rod! Here's your locket! I grab the locket from her hand.

I would love to conversation more but a little kid's birthday party is here and-

All of a sudden we hear crying and yelling from across the rink.

Gotta go! Hey is your kid ok!!? She said while running towards the commotion.

I laughed a little as I walked out holding my locket close to my chest and putting it back on.

Time to head home now.

*few bus rides later*
Home at last! I walked in and saw my brother and my dad watching tv on the couch I decided to skip the fretting and head straight into the shower.

Rod! What did I tell you about getting home late! Rod! You better listen to me rod!

I slammed the door to the bathroom and turned on the shower blocking out all noise outside the bathroom.

*after his shower and getting dressed*

I went into my room and payed there staring at the ceiling messing around with the locket around my neck.

My dad walked into my room and sat on my bed so I quickly stuffed the locket in my shirt.

What was that rod? My dad asked stating directly into my eyes.

Oh! It was just the tag on my shirt! I have it on backwards! I said while I laughed nervously

Oh I see rod I gotta ask what do you do after school be honest because I asked the other kids parents at your school and there is no study group..

That's because..they don't go to my school.

What do you mean?

Dad I've been helping the kids from the public high school because they are not doing well with grades so many of them are failing..it's sad.

Oh my wonderful wonderful boy! Why didn't you tell me?

I didn't want those kids to be embarrassed.

I understand son what did I do to deserve such a wonderful boy like you. He said while hugging me tightly.

Oh I don't know dad you've done many good deeds.

Yeah..I'm just pretty lucky to be your dad then huh? He said letting go of his hug.

Goodnight rody.

Night dad. I said as he walked out of my room.

I turned around to face the window.

I hope you had a good day today my love.
