All schools in Chicago have a vacation break. The end of this year is near so everyone is preparing themselves for the public holidays, like Christmas Eve, Christmas itself, and of course New years eve.
You watch your friend and dorm buddy Riri packing her last stuff. "Why are you always late with packing your things?" You giggled, having your suitcase ready. Riri sits on her suitcase and bites her lip, trying to close it with much force.
"Because maybe I'm not this excited to go to Wakanda as you are y/n!" She says with a groan having a hard time at the moment.
You stand up from your single bed and shuffle to the window. "It's just-. I have dreamed for so long to see what Wakanda looks like. I have told you about my grandmother who told me stories of Wakanda when I was a little girl." You smiled and turn around to look at Riri. She's already looking at you with a smile crossing her face.
"How cute." Riri narrowed her eyes. You nod. Your grandmother always claims to you that she's a Wakandan herself. That's mainly a part of why you want to go to Wakanda, to find out if your grandmother has a history in this secret country. Since she passed away a few years ago you weren't able to go into details with her.
Your mother allows you to find out yourself by going to Wakanda about her mother. You know that your mother knows a lot, but since you are eighteen your mother thinks it's time to know the truth about what this country has to do with your small family. You are hoping someone there can give you answers. It's your new journey to aim for, and you can't wait to initiate.
It's all a coincidence that you met Riri. You both are doing different studies but are sharing the same dorm room. Since you own Riri's trust she told you about the adventures she had in Wakanda. She told that Wakanda almost was doomed because of her vibranium project. That Wakanda and Talocan had war and that she helped Wakanda to strike. Not to forget that she was under the protection of princess Shuri the black panther. You were flabbergasted of the story and couldn't imagine that it happened. It was almost half a year ago that this all happened and since then Riri and Shuri always had contact. Since Riri knows your story, she asked Shuri if you can join. Shuri answered positively, a great friend from Riri is always welcome. It isn't always like that, so you are lucky that Shuri allowed you to Wakanda.
"I need help out here!" Riri took you out of your daydream before her suitcase is about to explode. You nod and walk over to her. You both will stay a week in Wakanda so you are back on time to spend Christmas with your family here.
Yours and Riri's family watched you both levitate to the flying transport that will take you to Wakanda in a fast phase. The families waved at you both wishing you a good journey and watched the transport fly above the clouds.
A few strong warriors of Wakanda and the personal bodyguard of the Black panther named Dora Milaje are inside the transport. One is taking the lead to this spaceship and the others are sitting with Riri and you, scanning you both. Riri is relaxing in her seat while you are looking your eyes out at these powerful women.
One of them glanced at the box that's placed on your lap. "What is in there?" She asks looking at you in suspicion. You looked down at the box.
"It's comfort brownies! My mother made it for princess Shuri. She define that this will do the princess good." You opened the lid so the warrior can take a look inside. The warrior watched in horror at the delicious snack.
Riri turns around to look at you both. "Believe me, her mother's brownies are the best!" She pointed at you with her thumb. You closed the box not wanting any bad energy from this warrior on your mother's brownies.
The warrior let out a hum and turns around, walking away. You watched her in confusion and scooted closer to Riri. "Are they always having this attitude?" You questioned. Riri nods.
"Yup, get used to it." She whispered. You stare in front of you, hoping that princess Shuri doesn't have the same character. Even though, you understand why the Dora Milaje is so strict and emotionless to strangers. Everything to protect the kingdom of Wakanda.
An hour passed and the spaceship got through the shield border, you looked in the window and gasped when you see the beautiful Wakanda in real, the whole country is surrounded by huge mountains. The city is built inside nature, it all looked modern as if you are in another universe as if you are in a comic. You smiled big, having this peaceful feeling inside of you.
But it soon turned into the opposite of peaceful when the Dora Milaje warriors need to make an emergency landing because the country has been attacked by a few outsiders.
Your heart raced when you heard the terrifying screams from the nation. "Stay in the spaceship!" They demand Riri and you when they run out of the spaceship after they landed in the middle of the city.
"W-what they are leaving us by ourselves?" You stuttered, with a slight panic. Riri took off her seatbelt and stand in front of you.
"I don't think so!" She undoes your seatbelt. "Let's go!" She took your hand letting you stand up. You stopped Riri from walking.
"What! But we needed to stay here!" You fast says, your legs are shaking from the adrenaline.
"Waiting for us to die? We need to go, come on y/n!" Riri pulled you. You went with it and run with Riri out of the spaceship. Many people are running in different ways. None knows where they needed to go but what they know is that there's danger in their safe land.
There was a mass of people that you lost grip of Riri. You stopped walking and looked around you, having no clue where Riri is. "RIRI!" You shouted in fear, not knowing what to do.
There was a loud bang, everyone got terrorized. Someone bumped hard on you, you hit the ground pretty hard. A few people accidentally stepped on you, and your bare knee is bleeding much of a pretty big wound, you covered your head and cried in pain. "The Black Panther is here to safe us!" You heard someone scream.
You collected yourself but are too weak to stand up on your own. You sit on the ground, your vision is blurry of the sudden sunlight. You saw a dark figure near you, having a fire weapon directed to you. Your eyes widen, looking at the bad person in shock. Before he could fire his weapon at you, a slender figure appeared in front of you catching the bullet for you. It doesn't have any effect because they started to fight the bad person. You blinked a few times and saw who it was. It's the Black Panther.
