Barbara's POV

"But Doctor i have to be there. I wanna know if i got promoted or not." I pouted at the doctor.

"Im sorry Barbara but you have to stay here in the hospital. We still have some test for you." Doc says.

I sigh but nodded anyways.

So i decided to tell my best friend about it.

'S! I cant go today. :( Got sick so i have to stay in the hospital for some unknown reasons. Tell me what the result will be okay? Love you! x ~B'

I sigh as i waited for Stella's reply. Minutes later i got a reply.

'Are you okay? Do you want me to visit you there after? Get well soon babe! Love you. x ~S'

'Im fine. Dont go anymore. I might be out by then. x ~B'

'Okay B. Well gotta go! They are calling us! See you tomorrow B. x ~S'

'Tell me what the results are. Good luck for us S. See you babe. x ~B'

Now im nervous.

What if i wont be promoted?

Its fine anyways. I can wait for another year.

Nah im sure me and stella can be promoted. We both worked hard for this.

Then my doctor entered.

"FInally! Can i go?" I asked annoyed that i have to stay in here.

He had a sad look on his face.

"Barbara." He sigh.

I just looked at him confusedly.

"You.. you have leukemia." He said softly.

What?

I felt my tears fall down from my face.

No this cant be happening.

I felt so numb.
