Chapter Thirty Four

He started to pace back and fourth in the kitchen while thinking of ways to even start. Everything sounded ridiculous even to him. This type of stuff was only heard of from books but yet somehow it had become his reality. When did it become this complicated? He knew the answer to that one at least.

As each minute passed he became more and more anxious and he was actually starting to find it hard to breath as sweat started to form itself on his forehead. "Ready?" Elizabella asked quietly from doorway of the kitchen. He nearly jumped out of his skin. "Bloody hell!" He groaned as he wiped away the sweat.

She merely shook her head. "Someone is a little jumpy, eh?" She teased before turning and making her way to the front door. He quickly followed behind her but she paused right as her hand grasped the door knob. She turned her head back to him and they held each others gaze for a moment. "Let's get this over with." She mumbled under her breath and then swiftly opened the door.

The tone of her voice gave him an unsettling feeling but he couldn't really blame her. He knew this had to be hard for her, a part of him believed that she already knew the truth about him in some ways and he was about to confirm all of her fears.

He needed her to know that werewolf or not that he would never hurt her and he would always protect her from anything and anyone who even dared to hurt her.

They made their way down to his car and he quickly opened the door for her to slide into the passenger's side. He was in the driver's seat next to her in mere seconds.

"Do you have anything specific in mind?" He questioned quietly as the engine roared to life. She tilted her head slightly and then glanced over to him. "Actually...I do." She paused. "Let's go to that cafe, the one where I met you for the first time with Zach." She continued with a small nod of her head as she remembered.

He arched an eyebrow at her questionably but didn't say anything. He just pulled out on to the road and made his way to their destination. It was silent in the car and it was making him crazy. He use to love the silence, in fact he yearned for it but now all he wanted was to hear her voice.

"You know that was not really the first time we met." He spoke after a few moments. She turned in her seat completely to look at him. "What?" She asked in confusion.

He laughed nervously. "Well formally sure I suppose you could that's say the first time but in reality it was in the parking lot of my work, that was the first time I laid my eyes on you." He confirmed .

She nodded. "Well yeah but we didn't say anything, I would hardly consider that anything. We just saw each other." She shrugged.

He couldn't deny that her words actually stung a little. "We smiled at each other though." He pushed and he realized how silly he must sound. She giggled which confirmed it. "Well I guess you're right then." She said playfully.

"I knew in that moment you were going to mean something to me. I just knew it but me being...well me being myself..." He paused for a moment. "I just didn't want to admit it then." He confessed.
