So I found this ANTI-TBR thing some Booktubers were doing, thought I'd try it myself, and some of y'all can try it.

1.
A popular book EVERYONE loves that you have no interest in reading?

 2.
A classic book (or author) you don't have an interest in reading?

 3.
An author whose books you have no interest in reading?

3.2
A problematic author whose books you have no interest in reading

(Question 3 and 3.2 can be answered with the same thing)

4.
An author you have read a couple of books from & have decided their books are not for you?

5.
A genre you have no interest in OR a genre you tried to get into & couldn't?

6.
A book you have bought but will never read? (this can be a book you have unhauled/returned to the library unread)

7.
A series you have no interest in reading OR a series you started & have dnf'd?

8.
A new release you have no interest in reading?

1.
My answer would be the same as hers: Heartstopper.
Gay or no gay, I just don't really enjoy books too rooted in reality. I'm a fantasy person. Books are my escape from the real world and the insane reality.
Like, I can read things like Where The Red Fern Grows or Oliver Twist. But those are more in the eyes of kids, kids learning, dealing with their little hardships, and it has a tad bit of wonder to them since they're in the eyes of children, and because I do love a good bond with dogs.
But Heartstopper, I'm never really interested in those types of stuff. Just a coming-of-age highschool story, just gayer.

2.
I'd have to say To Kill A Mockingbird. It doesn't really interest me. I did read How To Kill A Mockingbird, which does reference the original book. But I was like 8 or 9, and this book was about a girl grieving her brother, who was killed in either a mall or a school shooting. So not the same thing.

3 & 3.2.
J.K. Rowling.
And not just because of the transphobia. Like, I could easily just get the Harry Potter books secondhand, whether it be from a thrift store or someone selling their used books.
But even before I knew of her transphobia, I didn't really have an interest to it, no pull. Which can be considered weird since I love Percy Jackson, and people often compare the two.

4.
That one is hard to answer. Other than Rick Riordan, I don't really pay attention to an author when looking for an interesting book. Not at first, at least.
I was going to say Nora Roberts because every book I did try was not for me and some were erotica's, if I remember correctly. But some of her books do look genuinely interesting and not being erotica (as far as I can tell), so scratch that.
So I'd have to go with Stephanie Meyer. I only read the Twilight books because my mom was urging me to. Just...THE CRINGE.
I tried reading The Host and it bored me. The only thing I found interesting of hers was the Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner. I just wish there was more on a group of New Vampires than the rest of the books. The romance in it was forgettable though. I want a dam story on Freaky Fred's life! He decided "Nah, I'm out", and is never seen again. He was interesting.
So unless Fred gets his own book, consider me out. The other stuff is eh, and I don't wanna read any more Stephanie Meyer.

5.
Was torn between Romance or Murder Mystery.
Like, I can do them as Subgenre's in fantasy. But I can tolerate Romance more than Murder Mystery. Most of the MM's I've read just feel the same, and often either make me angry or don't help my anxiety and over thinking, or just bore me.

6.
IT
(Skip this if underage sexual stuff is a trigger for you)
I tried a bit, interested me a bit. Especially since I did love the movies. But I have a habit of scanning later pages, and there was some stuff that...
Later on in the book, Beverly, a 12 year old, lets the rest of the Loser gang do..."that" to her, taking turns. Like, the scene with Bower's friend offering to give him a BJ was weird enough, but at least Bowers logically told him "Um, NO!!! WTF!?!" But I drew then line where it's an orgy of kids. I couldn't read the book after scanning that part. I was like 13 or 14 when I saw that, and just...ugh. There's a line between horror and WTF, and that crossed the line.

7.
Mortal Instruments.
Other than wanting to read the Malec series, I literally could not bring myself to read any more.
I forget the chicks name, but the girl Shadowhunter and Simon's romance personally felt like it came out of nowhere.
The whole thing where Clary and Jace couldn't tell if they were safe to date or if they were siblings flip flopping really made me cringe to the floor of Helheim's deepest part.
Malec was the only thing of the series I enjoyed, as far as I remember. And no, not just because they're gay, but I feel like they were built a little more nicely than Alec's sister and Simon, and they didn't have weird AF tension when they thought they were full siblings. If they had been a guy x girl, I'd still love them and would want to read their spin-off. I can still remember their talk where Alec is getting frustrated because he's a mortal and Magnus is immortal, and their conversation just squeezed my heart.
But as of the series itself? No thanks.

8.
Does Crave count? It can still be kinda considered New. But I haven't seen any New Release books I have no interest in. Newest I could think of was Crave. The description just made me think of stuff like the Marked series or something.

Well, that's my Anti-TBR list. Feel free to do it yourself.
