Winston was an "experiment" done in a lab where scientists conducted tests to see if they could make various objects come to life. The can of peas, dubbed "Winston", seemed to shape and bend itself, gravitating a spoon towards itself, acting as a makeshift "tail". The scientists then opened Winston's lid, noticing nothing particularly off about the peas inside. Winston is now a pet at the science lab.
