You open your heart easily,
so ready to love, to caress, to adore
and you expect nothing in return,
not even a smile.
I can only hope as each moment passes, your heart,
which beats feverishly with the desire to be coddled,
will open up and accept the kindness that you gift to so many.

Countless nights have passed,
and counting the rays of light beaming from the sun has allowed me to
appreciate a spectrum of colors
I never knew existed.

Will you open your heart to me?
Accept my love as unconditional?

I need not a thing from you,
but I crave to hear the words that are written on the walls of you heart.

I long to hear you,
to understand and appreciate you.
You are everything that I have wished for.

You seem apprehensive to show your true colors.
The hues that are not so bright,
the ones that darken the caverns of your brain.
I am desperate to accept each shadow and shade.
To love you for what you try to hide.
Eager to listen to the sadness that plagues your smile.

The chase to perfection is endless
and you will never achieve what you are desperate to aquire.
Instead,
I plead you to share with me what you deem to be valuable.
Share with me everything and anything.

Dear one,
open your heart to me,
caverns, shadows and all,
and I promise,
with the honesty that which my soul is made of,
I will open mine in return.
And then together,
we will blossom into eternal light,
and restart once again,
piece by piece.
