Which was still crazy to me because he doesn't come off that way. Outsiders would never know since he's always so cool, calm and collected but Gianni was the jealous type.

I knew exactly what got under his skin and this was one of those things.

"Yeah aight." He went on saying again and I couldn't help but to smack my lips again before he chuckled to himself now.

"Nah, I'm fuckin' with you."

"I remember, baby." He expressed surely, blowing smoke from his mouth as he began to fill the car with it.

Breaking us away from our small banter, the music stopped completely and his phone began to ring loudly through the car. He looked at the caller ID a second before he answered with his steering wheel then continued to smoke his blunt.

"Yo." His deep voice spoke as he looked over to me, holding his free hand out and I grabbed it happily as he kissed the back of mine.

"Yo, cuh." His brother Giano's voice came through the phone and sounded throughout the car. I watched as Gi licked his lips intently as he looked into my eyes with a slight look of worry before he sat up straight.

"What's up, nigga? I got Nic in the car, bro." He then clarified sternly, making me raise my eyebrows but I said nothing, thinking nothing of it at the moment.

"Oh aight."

"Where y'all at now?"

"You slidin' down now?" Giano asked and I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at Gi.

"Yeah.."

"I just got finished taking her out for breakfast."

"We about to slide down there in a few."

"I got a few more places to go first though, I'm about to text you and shit." Gianni went on saying and I was slightly confused but still I said nothing, just happy to be here.

"Oh aight." Giano responded before loud talking could be heard in the background and it sounded just like Gia, their sister.

"Oh and Giannina said tell Nic to text her back." He went on saying, referring to their sister as I'd expected. Gi then looked over to me and I looked down at my phone seeing that she did in fact text me.

"I'm texting her back right now." I went on saying as Gi repeated my words back to him.

"She texting her back now but aight bro, we'll see y'all in a minute."

"Aight, cuh."

The call then ended and I watched as Gi put the blunt to his lips before starting his car then pulling away from the lot. When he did, I sat there quietly, holding my roses and looking down at Giannina's text.

She'd been asking me about what I was wearing and how my hair looked all day today. I was so confused at first, wondering why she wanted to know but then she sent another message telling me that her and her brothers were throwing a block party tonight in their neighborhood.

Which they did almost every night. So that was nothing new for me.

But for some reason, things just felt different today.

You gotta get lit with us, Nic. Her message said and I couldn't help but to playfully roll my eyes.

Anya's coming, she said she getting you drunk af. She sent another, making me furrow my eyebrows.

Now Gi and I's families were already blended and already close as if we were a married couple so Anya coming to a block party wasn't a surprise.

LA was small and most of the family I did have here, they lived in prominent areas.

Everybody knew everybody. So when Gi and I got together, everybody else around us became really close like family.

But her coming to a block party at their house, randomly, on a Wednesday, raised my suspicions even higher. Anya rarely even came outside if it wasn't for work or an event.

So now I was even more confused.

"Anya's supposed to be coming to the block party Gia's having tonight?" I asked more as a question and Gi shrugged his shoulders as if he had no clue about any of it.

"Oh aight, that's coo'." Was all he said and I thought to myself, still trying to figure out what exactly was going on but I said nothing as I looked back down at my phone.

"Well since she's going to be there, do you want her to do your hair?" I asked, looking up again at him as he drove with one hand and held the blunt to his lips with the other.

"Yeah, that's cool." He shrugged carelessly as usual but I looked at the side of his face, trying to read him like I usually do.

"Or do you want me to do it, Gi?" I asked him, knowing that was what he most likely wanted.

My baby's love language was physical touch and though he and my sister were as cool as a fan, I knew he wanted me on him and in his hair.

"Yeah."

"I'd rather you do it." He glanced over to me with a smirk and I couldn't help but to shake my head.

I knew my man.

Saying nothing else as he drove, I texted my sister and Gia to get more details as Gianni drove the PCH. As he did, I couldn't help but to go to my camera to get a few pictures in. I always had to sight see as usual. This wasn't anything new for me but it was always so beautiful.
