I won't give a whole lot of background info here since the fic itself addresses most of it. However, there are some things that potential readers should be aware of. Firstly, as I said in the description, this fic (as are all my fics) is for adults only. If there is any doubt in your mind about whether or not you're an adult, you're too young for this one. Come back when you're older.
Now onto the Dead Dove: Do Not Eat part. This fic contains a considerable age gap (sixteen years, and no, this isn't a Leonardo DiCaprio situation. Tim just happened to fall for a girl who's twenty, and he hasn't been involved with anyone around her age since he was also around her age. She is the exception, not the rule). Lea is nineteen when they meet (he's thirty-five), but nothing happens until both of them have had birthdays. Her age will be discussed and is a point of conflict. As stated in the description, Tim is married here. Basically, when he and Lourdes were seeing each other in high school, they weren't exclusive, but she was still sure he was the one who got her pregnant. They have a daughter named Elle, and the reason they're still married at all is for Elle's sake. More on that in a bit. This fic also contains an open marriage between Tim and Lourdes. It's open because they're not particularly happy together and would like to pursue relationships where they can be happy without fucking with their daughter's head. There is also a secret relationship between the main two, and they hide it from his daughter, who is Lea's friend. Lourdes is initially unaware of Lea's relationship with Tim, but it's not cheating because they have discussed them both being involved with other people, but Tim does tell her eventually.
Now onto the characters! I recently discovered that the picture I have of Lea is actually of an actress, which is weird and also cool because the actress looks almost exactly like how I picture Lea, just a bit skinnier from the bustline downwards. Anyway.

Face claim: Francesca Capaldi. Only difference is from the bustline down, Lea isn't nearly as skinny. Other than that, though, that's her. Name: Amelie Juliana Blanchard. Nickname: Lea. Age at start of fic: nineteen, almost twenty. She turns nineteen between the first and second chapters. Birthday: April 30th, 2011. Nationality: American, of Cajun descent. Height: 5'3/4" (and she will insist upon that 3/4"). Weight: not skinny, more curvy. Think Billie Eilish. Is that how you spell her last name? Whatever, I'm too lazy to Google it. Hair: long, dark red, very curly. Eyes: brown, almost black. If you look very closely, they have light brown flecks. Family: mother Rosalie. Older sister Angeline ("Lina"), younger sister Ariana ("Ari"). Her dad isn't around. Occupation: sophomore in college studying costume design. Has a part time job at a fancy designer store where she does normal retail stuff as well as assisting with tailoring clothes. Hobbies: drawing, history, sewing, anything fashion-related. She particularly likes Game of Thrones and gets very excited about the costumes. Her favorite character, in case you were wondering, is Daenerys, and she's still pissed about the ending (because she has a brain).
