Alcohol tended to leave memories disjointed, forcing its victim to recollect the night before scene by scene. Astrid couldn't help but wince each time a new piece slotted into place and she was forced to remember that night all over again.

The door slammed against the wall as it was thrust open, forcing plaster to crumble to Astrids freshly cleaned floors. She whined as she glanced to the damage her landlord would soon have a fit about but a hand tilted her attention back to the problem at hand.

"Less thinking about the door please." Mon'el hummed as he broke their kiss, fingers pulling astrids focus on him as they brushed against her cheek. She wanted to protest, explain why property damage was such a big deal in national city, but her retort was cut mute as hands began to wander. A trail of fire traced along her skin as fingertips pulled at her shirt, silently asking for her to lose it.

Maybe broken plaster wasn't such a big deal after all...

Sunlight flickered against skin, gently rousing those who were blinking away sleep. Astrid shifted as she woke, pulling at the arm secured around her as she hid from the light. It took a moment to process. After all, her blankets were never this heavy.

One shove. Two. With the third, her blanket made a disgruntled moan.

"Asteroid I'm trying to sleep here." It mumbled, tightening the hold until Astrid was being pulled on top. She squeaked, finally being able to differentiate between her cotton blanket and the man seemingly sprawled underneath her.

As the sun continued to pour into their bedroom, disjointed memories began to piece back together like Lego bricks scattered across the floor.

Oh hell. What had she done?

With hesitance, Astrid squinted one eye open to address the state of her room. Clothes laid tossed across the floor, disregarded haphazardly with no concern for placement. Her duvet was scrunch up at the end of the bed as if kicked off in frustration. And a calm man slept smugly underneath her.

Maybe the question wasn't what had she done, but rather what hadn't she done.

Her head began to pound as sweat beaded on her forehead. Things just weren't clicking. Memories still fogged from the night before. She'll blame Kara. It was her idea to go out drinking after all. If she hadnt gotten the idea in the first place, she wouldn't have been blindsided by alcohol.

"Stop thinking." Mon'el groaned into her hair, each word muffled as he spoke.

"What?" Astrid responded, snapping her gaze back to the man supposedly asleep underneath her.

"I can hear your brain working, go back to sleep." An indignant huff slipped past her lips as Astrid reacted to his comment. She couldn't believe how Blasé he was being about this. Was he not in as much panic as she was. Surely he knew they couldn't tell their friends at the DEO.

They would have a field day with that gossip.

Astrid was mortified.

Tiny bruises had blossomed across her collarbone and up her neck as if chicken pox had suddenly sprouted on her skin. She stared in the mirror, mouth hanging loosely open as she tried to comprehend just how many little marks he had left. Mon'el had seemed proud with himself as he observed her scratching at her skin, begging for an itch that would force them to disappear.

"Don't smirk at me!" Astrid whined as she turned her attention toward the culprit, brown eyes fuelled with anger.

"Im sorry. Im sorry. I couldn't help it." Mon'el grinned, his tone suggesting the apology was anything but sincere. He sauntered up slowly, hands coming up to brush away the frustration puffing at her cheeks.

He left delicate kisses on her forehead, cheek and nose before finally placing one upon her rosy lips. Astrid couldn't help but let her face burn red, eyes wide as she slowly processed their new situation.

"No! Stop that!" She butted out, jumping back as if scorched from his touch. Instead of being upset, mon'el continued to grin. It was sickening. He was taking enjoyment from her panic!

Astrid leapt back, attempting to create as much space between them as possible. She sprinted behind the kitchen island, face stern and eyebrows furrowed.

He continued to creep forward. Each step slower than the last. Astra wasn't liking this game of cat and mouse.

"Asteroid belt, there's no need to act coy when you're wearing my shirt." Astrid glanced down and to her horror she was dressed in nothing but an oversized led zeppelin top. She couldn't help but scream, pulling down the fabric until she was left awkwardly bending to cover her knees.

"Ash.."

"stay back I'm warning you!"

His steps paused. For a second Astrid had thought she had won. For a second he looked defeated. And then his smug smile crept back onto his face.

"Tell me you regret last night. Then I'll leave you alone." Mon'el hummed in thought, watching as her mind ticked away with memories from their evening. Her face soured bitterly, attempting to smother her beating heart as it bounded with each breath.

"Tell me you don't want it to happen again." He pressed, eyebrow quirked as he waited for her answer. "Tell me you never want to see me again."

Astrid knew she couldn't lie. He would hear her heartbeat falter as the words fell into the air. He would see her skin flush red and notice her avoiding eye contact. That boy had always been annoyingly observant. So lost in thought, Astra had barely noticed he had slipped closer until a hand pulled her in close.

"Just say the word." He murmured, waiting. His gaze was intently on her, as if she was the centre of the universe. At that moment she felt as if she was. With stars floating around them, a gravitational pull dragging them together each time they attempt to stay apart.

Suddenly Astrid wasn't just a star, but the sun. And Mon'el the ever doting planet dedicated to revolve around her for eternity.

"Just shut up." She pulled him down to her level, closing the distance until she was met with a soft touch of his lips.

Suddenly there was a big bang.

A new universe in the making.
