I laughed.

When my father saw me, he grinned.

I was going to respond when I was abruptly stopped.

"You, my dear" Mom remarked.

"Isabella Reign " she introduced while sticking out her hand for Aspen to shake

She shook my mother's hand and uttered "Aspen."

"Well, mom did it first!" I sighed.

She rolled her eyes and said, "You are such a drama queen, Lara."

I grinned, "Well because I received it from you."

"Lara Ann-Maire Reign!" She faked being hurt

I beckoned to her, "Come here mama," and hugged her.

"So, um, me?" She inquired.

I frantically nodded.

"Of course, with Ares by your side" I winked.

She blushed.

I heard Ares silently snicker at his mate's reaction

Aspen's POV:

When I learned that I would be inheriting the kingdom. It was only recently;

Train.
Eat.
Sleep.
Repeat.

Hydra finally came back from royal guard academy and had been training me for the past 13 hours.

"Come on Ash!" He shouted.

I moaned, "I'm burned out."

Ares said, "That won't work in war baby girl."

'F*** you!' I mindlinked

"Later, baby" he said.

I grimaced in reaction to his reply. Why did I end up with an extremely horny  mate?

He commands, "2 hours and we're done."

"I'm done now!" I shouted

I fire quick icicles at him, making sure they land where it hurts.

"Ow," he sighed.

I made a bucket fall from his head by imagining it to be there and clicking my fingers.

"Aspen!" He yelled

"Excellent training today!" I mocked before racing up to Ares to hide behind him.

"No. You brought this on yourself " he moved away

"But, baby" I moaned.

"Nop!" Still, he refused.

I've so far mastered earth, wind, and fire. Water remains a development.

"Hydra!" I shouted as he soaked me with a wave of water

"Mwah," he grinned.

One month later

Ares and I have been amazing. I succeeded in mastering all four elements. The other powers I have with naturally develop themselves.

I was now heading to Greece with Miles, Mom, and Res. to be crowned Queen at last.

It feels strange because... not that long ago

I used to be a princess, and soon I'll be a queen of a whole type.

He mindlinked, "We in this together."

"I know," I replied.

Res has been by my side the entire way, and I'm relieved to have found someone who would stand by me.

We arrived at a massive CASTLE.
It's stunning. It defies description, to say the least!
We walked slowly inside the throne room after passing through the large doors.

Res and I were both directed by Miles  "Stand here."

"I,Miles Reign hand over to you,Ares Hernández ,the title of King of Hybrids. For you honour and serve of our kind with resilience and pride. To rule with Wisdom and lead with strength. Do you accept this honour?" Miles said.

Ares accepted, "I accept."

With a stunning knife in his hand, Miles slashed both Ares' wrist and his own. Both of them bound the wrist, dripping blood into a tiny gold dish.

Isa moved in front of me.

"I,Isabella Reign hand over to you,Aspen Carson,the title of Queen of Hybrids. For you to honour and serve our kind with resilience and pride. To rule with compassion and strength. Do you accept this honour?" She claims

"I accept ," I said.

She grabs the identical knife and cuts both of our wrists. As blood seeps into the tiny dish, it binds them together.

On top of our heads were set gold and silver crowns. The weight of the world settled in it's details.

"Wow" I exclaimed.

"Now,we introduce ourselves at the royal dinner" Miles grinned.

I know it seems to be going too fast as like not so long I made her Princess and now she's Queen. But as dear Miles said "you have to inherit the kingdom in order to do so" and plus who doesn't love a good Queen story?
