"Then. Why didn't you...burn or something," I say shutting off the sink and turning to face him. A slight smirk forms on his face as he brings the mug towards his face with his left hand and a prominent gaudy ring shins on his sleek finger. I turn my gaze towards it before focusing back on his gaze which hasn't left mine.
"The ring," I say as more of a question. He stops sipping his drink before deeper smirk forms on his skin and he moves back into the living room. I place another K-cup into the Keurig before looking back toward him.
I watch as he stands up walking over towards one of the windows confused as to what he was doing. I watch as makes his way toward the other window, his finger grazing the seam of the curtain before ripping it wide open with brute force and then doing the same to the other window.
"Ah....nice to have Vitamin D in the room, right warm one," Gerard says turning to face me. I hear the coffee start to brew into the cup as my jaw is relaxing and my top and bottom teeth nowhere close to each other.
"I...wow," I say shutting my mouth and turning towards my mug placing a piece of hair behind my ear trying to understand why he could stand in the sun with that ring.
"Some of us higher-ups are allowed to walk during the daylight. It makes us seem, human...to you warm...folks," Gerard says before walking over toward the couch and sitting down sipping his coffee again.
"And you didn't think that was huge detail in the interview to tell me," I ask flabbergasted by the news.
"Not really...I would have thought that you would have asked if you deemed it important," Gerard answers back nonchalantly. I laugh slightly leaning into the fridge getting out the creamer and placing it into my coffee.
"Like I said. I was learning Gerard, it wasn't something that I was aware of," I say placing the creamer back into the fridge and picking up my mug walking back into the living room.
"I know," Gerard says looking toward me. I tilt my head slightly towards him with a stern expression and he turns it with an expressionless face; as expected.
"So why is this dream of mine important," I ask sitting down the love seat looking over towards him.
"Damon doesn't really have the best intentions when it comes towards the humans. There is a reason why he is coming to you in your dreams," Gerard says.
"And what is the reason," I ask.
"That is what I want to know as well. He hasn't been here has he," Gerard asks.
"No. At least that I am aware of," I say back.
"Good. Keep it that way," Gerard says getting up out of the seat placing the cup down on the coaster again, "Thank you for the coffee. I have to go now."
"Wait," I say standing up as well. He look up towards me flicking his leather jacket over his shoulders.
"Uhh, why did you tell me your name," I ask. It sounded lamer than I intended, but it is something that I have been trying to not think of while he has been in my house.
Gerard smiles slightly meeting my timid gaze.
"How do you know that it is my real name warm one," He says.
Before I could answer there is a gust of wind and no one was present in front of me. I swiftly turn around to my front door wide open and no one there.
"Fucking vampires," I grovel to myself storming over towards the door and slamming it shut making sure I deadbolt it. I don't want any more bloodies in my house for the rest of the day.
