Life is a bad bitch. Deal with it.

Frost Mansion, Lakewood Town...

"I'm bored." Scarlett Frost removed her sunglasses and stretched like a cat, her platinum blonde hair shining under the bright sun. It was a Sunday afternoon and she was lounging by the pool with Liam, her not-boyfriend.

"You don't look bored to me." Liam raised his brow at her.

Liam Wright. His mom is a well-known tech company owner and his dad's family owns the biggest local bank in Lakewood. He is also her childhood friend and confidante. 

"Life is so boring. School is boring. My house is boring. This town is so boring," She frowned and stared at the guy in front of her, "and you're boring. I wish something fun happens in this boring old town before I finally leave for university."

"The school year is just starting tomorrow. Maybe more people would transfer in and be added to your most loyal followers list." Liam chuckled. "Also, how can you be so bored of this town when this is basically your little Kingdom? Your dad is literally the mayor and your mom is the president of the Housewives Association."

Scarlett rolled her eyes at the mention of her absentee parents. "Those people only care about their boring tea parties and sparkling clean images for campaigns and other bullshit."

Scarlett stood up and went for the door to the house. "I'm tired of swimming. You wanna take a shower?" She smiled seductively as Liam hurriedly followed her inside.

Two weeks later, Lakewood High...

"Everyone, listen." The homeroom teacher of Year 12 Class 2, a balding old math teacher called Mr. Arnold Davis tapped the whiteboard using his wooden meter stick. "I know that you school started two weeks ago but we have a new member of the class today."

Everyone in the class started buzzing. It's not common for someone to transfer to this town and almost everyone in the class have known each other since their kindergarten days.

"Is it a girl? Is she sexy?" Jake Coleman, a well-known playboy asked loudly and the boys hollered.

"Keep it down, young man." The teacher shushed him. "You will meet her today. She's already outside the door at this moment." The old man cleared his throat. "Miss Mendez, you may come in."

A young woman who has shoulder-length wavy black hair and amber brown eyes entered the door and stood in front of the class.

"She's kinda hot. Not Scarlett from Class 1 kind of hot but I think she's my type." Jake whispered a little too loudly and a lot of groans were let out by their classmates who are fed up with him. 

"Hi! My name's  Aurelia but you can call me Ellie." The girl smiled warmly, ignoring the guy's words and taking away the breath of everyone inside the classroom instead.

"So a little bird told me that there's a new girl at school." Scarlett looked at her well-manicured fingers (colorless of course. she's not a rule breaker after all).

"So...?" Liam didn't bother looking up from the novel that he's currently reading. The two of them are in the school library, doing their History assignment. 

"I hear whispers that they want her as the prom queen." She gritted her teeth.

"That's quite impossible. Not with the amount of loyal followers that you have."

"Men are fickle beings. I have no trust in them."

"You do realize that I'm also a man."

"But you're not like them... right? You are my faithful and loyal dog." She grinned widely.

"Whatever."

"Hey."

"'Hey' what?"

"I think that's her. The transfer girl with an old sounding name. I think her name's Aurora or something like that." Scarlett whispered and covertly pointed at the librarian's desk. Standing by the librarian is an unfamiliar face flocked by boys from different classes. 'Those idiots used to follow me all the time.' Scarlett huffed internally.

"Hmm. She's pretty indeed." Liam looked at the girl thoughtfully.

"I heard she rejected all her admirers or something. Jake has been whining about it for days."

"Jake deserves to be rejected by all women. He's nothing but a perverted pig."

Suddenly, the girl looked towards their direction. Her eyes met with Liam and they seemed to stare at each other for an eternity before the girl snapped out of it and walked away, her face is blank but the tip of her ears are beet red. Liam thought nothing of it but the woman in front of him is already contemplating. 

Scarlett suddenly giggled as if she found the situation amusing. "Hey, I just thought of something."

"I know what's on your mind and I don't want any of it."

"You know what? I just thought about it right now. You're actually pretty handsome. You're tall. You're athletic, rich, and quite brainy as well. A perfect boyfriend-material." She went around the table and sat next to him.

"I don't like the direction where we are going." Liam's green eyes are full of uncertainty.

"Seduce her." She whispered, her ocean blue eyes twinkling with mischief.

Liam looked at her as if he's scandalized by the words she said. "You know that it is you whom I like? Why would I seduce a random girl?"

"I'm not yet done. Seduce her, then dump her. Make her know that she's not in the same level as me and she shouldn't covet things that aren't hers."

"Why would I even do that?" He crossed his arms.

"If you do it successfully. I will be your exclusive girlfriend." She pressed herself to his arms, fully knowing that Ellie is watching them from somewhere. "So, deal?"

"Deal" She heard him groan and she grinned victoriously.

Now school wouldn't be as boring. This is going to be fun.

Hi. It has been a while.

Anyway, we are back with another story starring another obsessive main character.

I started writing short stories again way back in 2021 but I can't bring myself to publish them because I don't know whether I can bring myself to finish the drafts. Thankfully, there are still people who believe in my writing capabilities and are still with me almost a decade after I opened this account.

This story is especially dedicated to someone who supports me a lot. Happy birthday NinjaStooge. Thank you for the endless support. This one is for you.
