A/N: OK, I AM the kind of fan that will rant about Wally not being dead and being in the speed force and that he'll come back some day and bla bla bla... but, since the last we saw on young justice was Wally's death and Artemis suddenly becoming tigress, rejoining the team; I'm going to write about how that happened, so this will be a bit depressing XD (and it's so hard to write such tragic events without getting heartbroken myself)

BTW- Again, art credit goes to tumblr user 'murrmernator'

It was a clouded day for the fallen hero's funeral, everyone was there, crying, sobbing, and comforting the heartbroken blond archer, who was sitting in the grass speaking of every lovable moment she had been through with him, hoping the if his spirit were there, he'd hear her "You just had to be a hero, didn't you? Oh Wally, you will always be mine; my love, my friend and my greatest hero. You are what made me happy and now that you are gone I can't live with myself any more. I need you, Wally, I desperately need you." She sobs heavily as she says all this.

"Would you like a friend in this moment?" a soft voice, belonging to Nightwing, speaks up behind her, "I miss him so much" she says, as she buries her face into his shoulder "I miss him too" he replies and gently hugs her. The two friends sat on the grass for hours, both sharing their memories about Wally "he has always been my best friend, he was the one I most trusted, without him, nothing will ever really be the same, no one can ever compare, no one will ever be able to replace this awesome person..." Nightwing pauses a bit before speaking again "... I know my pain cannot match yours, but I seriously don't think I'll get over this soon enough" he says with his eyes filled with tears.

"You were his best friend too." Artemis says, "He was very important to both of us, so both of us have the same right to grieve for how long we want" Artemis held Nightwing's hand and both stayed motionless until everybody left. They heard everyone's speech, one by one, and each speech would cause tears to stream freely down their faces.

"I don't want to... I can't leave!" Artemis says whimpering "we have to say goodbye, Artemis" Nightwing tells her, she looks him in the eye and asks "how can you say goodbye to a so loved person in one day? How can you just say goodbye to everything in an instant?" she hugs her knees and lowers her head, not a single tears comes out now, she was already dried out, she just breathes, and appreciates Nightwing's company.

Nightwing refuses to leave her alone, but she almost begs him to "please, you need to go home and rest, I just want to stay here with him... or, at least, stay here with his grave". Nightwing hugs her one last time and stands up "you try to rest too" he says and slowly leaves the grave.

"Artemis, will you be coming home with us tonight?" a gentle sweet voice says behind her, it was Mary, Wally's mother. "I can't leave him" Artemis replies sadly

"If you love him truly, your heart will never leave him" Mary says to her, Artemis looks up at her and slyly smiles "my heart will always belong to him" she says. Artemis takes a deep breath and sighs, she looks down to the gravestone with a look of admiration and whispers "My heart will never leave you Wally, I love you! Goodbye." Then, she walks with Mary to the car. Artemis had been staying these days with Wally's parents because she felt she wouldn't be able to breathe if she went back to their house and realized Wally would never come back to that house; their home. She decided to stay at his parent's house so they would comfort each other though she knew her parents were lately comforting her more than she was comforting them.

When they arrived, Artemis felt exhausted and tired, she only wanted to go to bed and dream about her loved one; who would only be with her again in her dreams. She laid on the bed that used to be his' and softly rubbed her hand through the bed sheets, with a single tear dropping on it.

In her unconscious mind, as she slept, (in her dream) she saw nothing but black, and a sudden voice yells out "Artemis?" she was scared, as she could not see anything, but she knew that voice belonged to her Wally, she saw a dim light brightening what seemed to be him. It was, definitely, Wally. He walked slowly towards her, with a smile, excited to see her once again, "Wally!" Artemis yells, joyful, but this time, his footsteps had gotten slower and his smile faded away. Wally put a hand in front of him, as if there were an invisible wall that wouldn't let him continue walking toward his love, "Arty!" He yells desperately, "I can't be with you anymore; I can't come to you again". And a tear of hopelessness runs down his pale face.

Artemis, too, places her hands in front of her, on the invisible wall, her hands are in front of his' but she can't feel them, much less touch them, "Wally! I need you! I need to feel you with me again" she cries out. Wally started to slowly fade away and vanishes in the dark.

Artemis gasps as she suddenly wakes up, covered in sweat and tears, "nightmares?" Mary asks, scaring Artemis; she didn't know his mother was with her at the moment. Artemis nodded at Mary answering her question, "I get them too" Mary whispers and hugs Artemis, as Artemis cuddles up with Mary "I think it's time I go to our house" she mutters "I need to clean up everything. I won't be staying there anymore if Wally isn't with me".

"Tomorrow you shall go, sweetie" Mary tells her and cuddles her hair until Artemis falls back to sleep. This time, Artemis didn't have nightmares.

The next morning, when Artemis woke up, Mary had brought her a cup of coffee "good morning" she says and Artemis smiles back, taking her cup of coffee and sitting on the kitchen table "good morning" she finally replies, "I'll be going to Palo Alto today to clean up our house, would you mind if I take your minivan?"

"Of course not Arty, just drive safe" Mary answered. Artemis packed up the few things she had and drove off to their house in Palo Alto. As she drove through the freeway, she constantly thought of Wally, but it would only make her get even sadder and occasionally make her get teary eyed, so she decided to turn on the radio and listen to music. None of the songs that played on the radio helped her get distracted; the songs that would play were all Wally's favorites. "Seriously?" she mumbles. Artemis sighed, she was now very annoyed with the radio and decided o turn it off. The ride turned into an almost eternal ride; hours passed and she finally arrived to their, now, lonely home... entering slowly inside.

A/N: so, I will continue this... someday...I hope... Just kidding, I obviously will, but I decided to make it a two part story before I started writing it because I have the idea but don't really know how to express everything yet. So, tell me; did you like this?
