It's another day, another slow day. From what I've been told cyberlife is supposed to send an android to help with the deviant cases. A prototype. Every day goes by and there are more and more cases, I stay away from such investigations for obvious reasons. I won't help track down my own people to revert them from becoming what I've already achieved. I only hope they've made it and escaped, just as I have. Unfortunately now with a specifically designed prototype it won't be so easy.

Here at the station, I help with homicide cases and with the help of reconstruction and in time samples I've made it far, some have said I'm meant to be here others aren't so happy with the extremital progress I've made in the last few years. It's understandable, technically it would be called cheating, using my programing to get further then they could, it isn't fair, so in turn I've told myself to leave some cases unsolved, because not even the best cops can solve every case thrown at them right? So I did, and in result this has caused previous tension to die down, with one single loss I'm just like everybody else, which is exactly what I want.

"Laybeth" I turn to the voice, it's Gavin. He is one of the most unliked person in this entire building, but you know what keeps him here, he does his job, and as much of an asshole that he is, he can be an interesting person. I've tried not to make enemies with anyone, Gavin was the most difficult, the way he talked of androids, it disgusted me, I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted no talk about androids, he was relucent at first but after that he only talked to me about the cases and simple conversations, it made him bearable.

"Yes, Gavin" he walks towards my desk files and a coffee in hand

"I know you don't like talking about androids but, you're the only one who'll listen"

"I wonder why that is?" he scoffs and sits at the edge of the desk, setting down the files

"oh come on, I know I can be a dick sometimes but I work don't I"

"just once" he subtly hands me the coffee and begins talking, basically everything I already knew. The android is supposed to be paired with Lt. Anderson. I never talked to him myself, I never got around to it, It could be more of the fact he's never here, he's consistently late and has a very bad drinking problem and when he does come in he keeps to himself for the most part. I let Gavin continue his rant until his heart rate went down, maybe one day I'll ask why he hates androids so much, there has to be a reason

98............95..............89.............86...................85

He stops. I smile and pick up the coffee on the desk.

"I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, besides it not like its being paired with you, so there's no reason to confront it, nor is there any reason to be hostile toward it hmm?" he nods but his head is in an entirely different place, I stand and shake the cup a little ways from his face

" By the way thanks for the coffee, but I don't drink coffee" I leave him at the desk and begin by way toward the break room rounding the corner from my cubical my body is met with a hard surface, I loose footing and I'm headed toward the floor before I can catch myself, I felt a hand on my arm holding me from meeting the floor, I turn toward this person and there he is, the android

"Are you alright?" The RK000, one of many, the Connor series, I look down at my arm and notice the white forming around the tips of his fingers as well as my synthetic skin, if Connor was deviant and he looked human it would be the one way we'd both know we're both android, I pull myself up and forcefully bring my arm toward me, I take in a breath and bring my shirt sleeve down

"Yes." he examines his fingers slightly before looking back at me.

"My name is Connor, I'm the android sent by Cyberlife. Could you point me in the direction of Lt. Anderson's desk?" I fix myself before nodding
