why go this far when you just can leave?

Maybe, the reason why people stay is because they still  want to know more and make the moments more memorable than it ever could be.

we choose long-term over short-term, obviously because we want something imperishable even though it gives us pain and melancholy at the same time. It balances this feeling and eventually will bring a pleasure to most of us, and we love that certain feeling because it makes us feel alive.

That's why some people beg for it, long for it and even risk their lives simply to be locked up in that fixation, once again. They tend to forget how to control their emotions and how things should be. It's like a drug, its hard to get rid of the obsession you've been dealing with.

These kind of some people are desperate to be in love, its either they love the person back or they will only take the person for granted. They will do anything that they can just to fill the gap of their longing heart. They don't care if the 'kind of love' they receive is sorrowful or awful, rather. No matter how painful and agonizing love could be, they don't give a single fuck about it because it pleasures their sexual interest. These kind of people are called masochist, and sadist is the opposite of this.

There are so many reason why some people don't notice how awful it is to stay martyr, they become dependent and more vulnerable around manipulative people, they're most likely to be controlled or even brainwashed. That's why they won't listen to their friends when their friends advice them to cut ties with the person who manipulated and who twisted their mind.

Look, the thing is, we see love and define love in so many different ways but its just actually the traits of it, you believe love should be reciprocated because it is maybe rare to happen to you, you believe that love should be easy, because maybe the other person makes it complicated for the both of you. What we all believe is just a part of love. It doesn't differ from the other.

We go through different paths, we meet different people, we'll have different beliefs. It's alright if you want to stay on the same place, but its not okay if you always wonder why can't you never move onto something new.

so, why people go this far to the point that they don't even realize they're only chasing pavements when they  can just leave?

because, they believe that they can still change the inevitable, that even if love can sometimes be unrequited, it gives them hope and a new perspective in life as if they've been reborn. They say we have an endless possibilities but only for a matter of chance. For them, leaving will only make that one good possibility that they strongly want to happen fade away. They stay not because it's good, but because they want to believe it can be.
