Entering SNU wasn't hard. Minji had good grades back in high school, her credentials and portfolio were excellent. A lot of colleges wanted to scout her, offering her scholarships and many more benefits, but according to her dad, she should study in SNU.
On the first day of class in the second year, she was going to be late because of this beautiful disaster. She looked at her ID. She was named Kim Yoohyeon, who spilled coffee all over her. But Minji wasn't mad though. Not when this Yoohyeon girl looked like she was on the verge of crying.
"I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry." She was panicking, trying to wipe the coffee out which was drying up quickly. Minji grabbed her wrist lightly, making her look at her, and said,
"Yoohyeon? That's your name?" The girl nodded. "It's pretty. And it's okay. I can go back home for a bit since I live in one of the dorms here. It's okay and I already forgive you so stop saying sorry."
"I'm sor-" Minji gave her a pointed glare. Yoohyeon scratched the back of her head and looked away from Minji. She grabbed something from her bag, giving it to Minji without thinking twice.
"Here. You can have my hoodie. I don't know if it would help but maybe you can cover it up for a moment or something." Minji took the hoodie from Yoohyeon's hand, thanking her and taking a look at it.
"I'll go to the bathroom so I can remove this shirt and wear your hoodie."
"Uhm, I can accompany you if you want." And well, Minji will never reject the presence of a beautiful girl.
Yoohyeon opened the door for Minji, letting her enter first and locking the door behind them. Minji entered a stall, removing her sticky white shirt, and wiping the dried coffee on her skin using the wet tissues that she brought.
The hoodie is a bit big on her but it smells nice and it comforts her in a way that her body is engulfed with the softness and scent of the hoodie. She went out of the stall to see Yoohyeon waiting for her with her bag in her hand., leaning back at the sink Minji snapped her fingers because Yoohyeon seemed lost and out of focus.
"Hello? Earth to Yoohyeon?" Minji giggled when Yoohyeon shook her head to regain her focus.
"Sorry. I just- I didn't think someone would look good in my clothes." They both blushed, looking away at the same time. Once they were out of the bathroom, Yoohyeon sighed heavily.
"Where are you headed?" Minji pointed towards the east with the question. Sadly, Yoohyeon is going the opposite way. They exchanged numbers due to Minji's request so she could return the hoodie once she washes it.
"Wait, I never really got to know your name." Minji smiled, walking to her direction while her gaze is focused on Yoohyeon.
"Minji. Kim Minji."
"We've been dating for a while now. That's why I was opposed to the idea of marrying someone else. And you released that statement without my permission. I had no choice but to release the truth. We were planning to get married next year, but because both our parents wanted us to marry other people, we decided to do it immediately. Besides, we've been living with each other since we started dating." Minji was standing tall in front of her father, with Yoohyeon beside her, her arm now secure on her waist. Minji's father scoffed in disbelief.
"The company is a mess because of your selfishness, Minji. Have you thought about your actions? Have you thought about the company?"
"I've been selfless my whole life for that damn company." Minji stopped her father. "I sacrificed many things because of that company. But I want to be selfish for once, for something that involves my heart and my feelings." He angrily huffed, looking at Yoohyeon.
