No-one's POV

Hailey came in and slammed the door. She saw the suitcases in the hallways and thought Jay was leaving. "Jay Halstead!!! Get here now" she yelled at the top of her voice. He appeared from inside the kitchen and set his drink on the table. "Yes babe," he replied hoping that there wasn't going to be a fight. "How in the world could you cheat on me? Why would you do such a thing? I thought you were a good man but now, not at all. To cheat on your girlfriend and tell your brother about it! That is just disrespectful and cruel!" Hailey yelled at him. Why would he? she thought so torn and hurt by the phone call. "Hailey," he said softly taking a step closer. 

*Meanwhile upstairs* 

No-one's POV

Caitlin sat on the bed, tears falling down her face. Annie was sat next to her knowing something was going wrong but not being able to hear it. She signed, "shh I'm sure it will stop. You're here with Dad and you're safe." Caitlin couldn't get her words out right, the shouting downstairs really getting to her. She grabbed her big fluffy blanket before going down. 

Jay took a step closer to Hailey when he saw Caitlin. His eyes darted to her quickly when she was on the stairs. Hailey spun around so fast and angry to see what he was looking at. Which scared Caitlin even more. "Cait come here princess," Jay said softly. Caitlin ran past Hailey and dove right into Jay's arms. "Shh it's okay," he said softly pulling Caitlin closer. Hailey sat down on the sofa watching Jay closely. "Jay you have some explaining to do," Hailey said angrily. 

 Jay's POV

This is not going well. I held Caitlin close as I sat on the sofa then said "angel go get your sister please" she nodded and went upstairs. Hailey sat there watching me with pure anger on her face. A few moments later Annie and Caitlin returned. Annie's face lit up when she saw Hailey and she beamed with joy. I was really confused how they both reacted differently. Caitlin curled up next to me in the blanket I got her years ago and Annie sat on the floor. "Well begin" Hailey said still angrily. I paused before saying, "This is Annie and Caitlin. My daughters." This was going to be a long night. "well I can see that dummy," Hailey replied. Caitlin was trying to sign everything to Annie as we spoke. "So um year's ago I got married to a woman and we had a daughter called Annie. We were all really happy. When Annie started a pen pal scheme with a school in France she got paired up with Caitlin. One day Annie told us that Caitlin wasn't safe and stuff so I and Hank went to investigate. Caitlin was not being correctly treated so we brought her over here to join the family. Soon my wife started becoming toxic and controlling. We went to court but it was ruled that she would keep the girls due to the nature of my job. So I left and I visited a few times but not much. Until today when Will phoned. He wasn't talking about an affair. He was talking about Annie. I went to see her and then had to go get Caitlin from her mum and the new partner." I said very quickly watching Hailey and keeping Caitlin close. 

Hailey's POV 

So he's got, kids. Wow! Just wow. And he never told me. I mean I'm sure they are lovely kids. But 2 teenage daughters! I don't know what to think. Why didn't he tell me? "You don't think your finacée wants to know about your kids?" I asked slightly angrily. "I just didn't know what to say," he replied. I mean they do seem like him. Annie does though I can tell she's deaf and it's a good job I know sign language. And Caitlin I can't tell, something is off about her and not just the red hair. I slowly stand up and go towards the phone.
