CHAPTER 5

Commander Dot Pyxis basically saved the three cadets from getting executed by Captain Kitz of the Garrison Regiment.

Pyxis agreed to use Eren's titan ability to retake the city. Armin suggested that Eren, in his titan form, takes the giant rock and use it to block the wrecked entrance.

It was a very risky gamble, the operation was a failure at first. Many soldiers are risking their lives for this operation and to keep the titans away from Eren.

I saw the light-ash brown haired cadet from earlier struggling to take off a dead soldier's gear. It seems like his gear has malfunctioned. A 10-meter titan showed up behind him, but a brown haired soldier came to distract the titan away from the cadet. He was able to get the gear but still struggled to use it do to the stiff triggers when another titan appeared. A bald boy also came to distract the titan away, "Jean! Get out of here!" He blurt out as he divert the titans attention to him. Jean was able to get away but suddenly encountered another titan, ready to devour him.

I fled to him as fast as I could, I fired the grapple hooks of my gear to the flesh of the titan. I pressed the trigger to pull me as I cleanly slashed the titan's nape, killing it. Jean fell on the ground following by the titan with my hooks still attached. I looked back at the confused soldier who's already looking at me.

"You okay, pretty boy?" I ask as I unhitch my gear from the decomposing titan.

Jean blushed at my comment, when he realized I'm wearing a torn short skirt, his face turned red like a tomato. "I-im okay. Thank you, miss."

Conrad and Farris arrive at my side with annoyed look on their faces. "This is not the place to flirt." Farris scowl at me then to Jean.

Conrad speaks before Farris starts lashing out on Jean. "Go now, it's not safe here.

Jean was about to speak again when he got distracted by the loud boom from Eren's titan plugging the hole. We took the opportunity to leave and go back to our hiding spot. Jean looked back but found no one, "Wait! I didn't even get to know her name, dammit."

Armin was getting Eren out of his titan as the operation was a success when two titans appeared. I was ready to take off to kill the titans when a spinning midget suddenly made an appearance, killing the two titans himself.

Afterwards, thanks to the help of the Scout Regiment and the Garrison Regiment's Corps of Engineers, Wall Rose once again held the Titans at bay. Taking out the rest of the Titans trapped inside Trost took a full day, during which the wall-mounted cannons fired nonstop.

Most of the titan's that had gathered by the wall were wiped out by explosive shells. The few that remained were mostly mopped out by the Scouts. During this, a four-meter titan and a seven-meter titan were successfully captured alive.

The soldiers proceeded to assemble the dead bodies while the officials gathered to have a meeting. I went together with Conrad and Farris to where we last saw Otto.

We went down to him, he had this look of relief on his face despite the horror he encountered. I fell on my knees, started wailing while I hold on to my brother's cold hand. I kept whispering "I'm sorry" to his lifeless body.

The two were crying silently behind as it is heartbreaking enough to see their brother in this state but their heart also feels like it's tearing even more as they see this grieving woman wail her heart out.

"You promised you won't die. You promised!" I blurt out as I cry out loud, holding his dead body. I don't even care about the blood staining my clothes. "Who's gonna deal with me when I'm being sarcastic again? Who's gonna tease the shit out of me during the worst situations? Who's gonna defend me from the men's dirty looks. Who'll I call my younger brother now? I don't know how I'll manage to live again without you." I couldn't let out another word but my head was screaming a lot of question.
