NEW A/N: So a I got a comment saying the first few lines were super similar to another person's FEDEX fanfic. So I read theirs and realized that it looked like I copied them. I apologize to that author  Summer_waves9764 I swear this is my own work but I am going to give them credit here. 

WARNINGS: Greif, talking bad about self

The flowers were useless.

Unnecessary.

Fitz clenched them tighter in his hand, and let them fall broken to the dirt floor.

Useless.

"Sorry for ruining your flowers, I know you would've liked them." He whispered, his words piled thick with sarcasm.

He knelt down in front of the grave.

He sighed. "Sophie keeps saying I should talk to you. Which is stupid because it's not like you can answer."

His lip trembled. "God this is so stupid." He mumbled.

"They say I should talk to you, that it will help me, but who's gonna help you? You can't be helped anymore it's-" He stopped himself.

Sophie said talk, not ramble or complain. A tear splashed against Dex's grave.

Just breathe he told himself.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

But Dex wasn't breathing. He was under that soil. So why should Fitz?

"I shouldn't have been helped, or healed. Not when I'm the reason you are gone."

Guilt was dangerous. It did things to people, terrible things. He clenched his fists. Nails piercing his skin. Another tear fell down his cheek.

"I couldn't help, I'm useless."
