"God damn it." I said as I threw my pregnancy test away, "I can't raise a kid on the fucking Moon, looks like I have to go back." I said disappointed.
I woke up and found my son crawling on me, "Mama!" (y/n) said happily, "Hey bud, you excited for tonight?" I asked sweetly, "YEAH!" he said happily, "Sorry I can't make your fourth birthday more special, money's a bit tight lately." I said as I got up. "Mama play time!" he said, "Alright, but let's get dressed first." I said with a warm smile.
I was baking (y/n)'s cake when there was a knock at the door, "(y/n) baby could you get that? It's probably one of Mommy's friends." I said I heard (y/n) open the front door and a small girl walked in, "WHAT'S UP FUCKERS!" Rebecca shouted drawing my attention.

"Rebecca!" I said, "What? You don't curse in front of this little shit?" she said as her arm morphed and she picked up (y/n) by his head, "No I don't, but I thought you were dead!" I said in shock, "Eh, came close, but that asshole landed on my arms and destroyed 'em. Almost bled out." she said, "How'd you survive?" I asked, "I don't wanna talk about it." she said, "Mama! The gremlin's got me!" (y/n) cried, "I get it, you don't wanna tell me. That's fine." I said, "Mind putting him down?" I said, "So what's his deal? He David's?" she asked as she let (y/n) go, "Yeah, he reminds me so much of his father, I just hope he has a better life." I said.
16 YEARS LATER
Lucy: [Job's done. Done.] ???: [Good meet at-] Lucy: [Hold up, I've got company!] I quickly ended my call and prepared to fight. I drew my gun and fired down the hall and he fired back at me, 'A runner?' I thought as I shot off their mask.

The man sprinted to me and slashed at me with a katana! The glow from the edge cast just enough light for me to see my attacker's face even through his glasses, "(Y/N)!?" I said in shock as I put my gun to his head and tore off my mask before he could decapitate me. "MOM?!" he said in shock.
A/N: I hope you liked this! I recently watched Edgerunners and wanted to write a story about it. If it does well I'll keep it up. I still have a lot to refine, like translating the call system into text format, but I think I did a good job.
