the zoo • killian hayes

"hey ki" carmen said to her boyfriend as she walked out her house to his car.

"hi love" he said as he walked to his side of the car closing her door.

the two of them were going to the zoo today as a date because carmen had babysat her niece and took her there deciding to back taking her boyfriend with.

"are you excited for today??" you asked him as he got onto the interstate.

"yea i've never been to the zoo here so it should be fun." he said , glancing at you before focusing back on the road.

"it is, i would come all the time when i was younger." you told him getting excited.

he just looked over at his girlfriend and smiled realizing how she was just a older version of a baby.

•time skip•

they had gotten to the entrance of the zoo and we're deciding which way to go.

"let's go by the flamingos first that's gonna be easier" you told him because in your opinion he wasn't making any sense.

"but if we go by them then we'll end up inside the aquarium later" he said thinking it was logical.

"it's going to be hot later which is why we should go in then." you said back in a duh tone.

"ok we can just go in by the flamingos." he said not wanting to do all this anymore.

"ooo look at that one it's so tiny!" you said excitedly. you had never seen a baby flamingo or a small flamingo even.

"yea it's cute." killian said back watching her get even more excited over the small animal.

"ok, onto the next!" you said grabbed his arm and walking away.

•time skip•

it was later in the day now and the both of them were now hot and headed inside for the aquarium.

"see i told you we were gonna be hot. smart decisions." you said.

"yes so smart." he said back sarcastically.

"ooo look at the jelly fish!" you said running over to the tank while pulling out your phone to take a picture.

"they've always looked so cool to me." killian said while watching you get excited over them.

"yea i remember when i was younger and my family went to the beach and i found one and it almost stung me." you said while the both of you laughed.

"i've never touched one but i've always wanted to." he said.

the two of you made your way around the aquarium, taking pictures here and there, until you made your way to the gift shop.

"we should get this!" you said picking up a stuffed shark plush.

"you have so many already you don't need anymore." killian said but quickly noticed that you weren't giving in.

"ok fine you can get it." he said grabbing it and walking over to the cash register.

"so did you have fun today?" you asked him.

"yea we have come here more often." he said as you laughed at him giving him a hug as you both walked to the car.
