I saw how he smirk at me before eating his food. It's like he's challenging me into something that I don't want to do. I felt weary by the fact that he sees me as a competition while I see him as a person I have a crush on.
"Yawa nalang jud!" I blurted out causing them to look at me with confusion. I just shrug at them and sip all of the remaining watermelon shake that is left.
"Let's go, Maic. Nakakabadtrip mga mukha ng mga 'to."
I sigh deeply when Phone grabs me somewhere far from them. I thank her for pulling me out of that situation. I was really anxious about what Rush has been doing, I have nothing against him and I thought he was cool about it but it turns out it was just a facade. I can feel the stress that he'll give me these upcoming days. Gosh! Help me!

Lutang akong nakikinig sa klase dahil sa nangyari. Dagdagan mo pa ang nakakabwesit na tinginan ng mga classmates mo dahil sa eksena kanina sa cafeteria.
I did try to focus but my mind fly elsewhere. Kahit nga si Persephone, hindi rin nakikinig. She's just scribbling some musical notes in her notebook. I yawn when our Teacher keeps on talking about Biology. The topic is related to Photosynthesis but broader version.
"Yes!" sabi ko before fixing my things. The teacher dismissed us early kaya pwede na daw kaming umuwi. It's 4:30 pm so I still have time to confront Rush,
"Bye!" I wave my palm at Persephone indicating that I need to go. She nodded in response. Alam niya kasi ang gagawin ko ngayon.
Pumunta ako sa building kung nasaan ang kanyang room. I waited outside patiently kasi di pa tapos ang klase nila. Other students are looking at me, curious what I'am doing here.
I was looking at my wristwatch nang biglang nagsilabasan ang mga classmates niya sa pintuan kaya tumuwid ako sa pagkatayo at hinanap siya.
He gets out of the room while bickering with one of his classmates. He didn't notice that I waited so I walk behind him and pat his back. Agad naman siyang lumingon and his reaction switched in a second when he saw me.
Confirm! He sees me as his enemy!
"We need to talk," I said without breaking eye contact with him.
He said something to his classmate and tap his back before he turn to me and signaled me to follow him which so I did.
He brought me to one of the kiosks. I just stay behind him so when he face me I was a little bit shocked. I mean it's your crush in front of you. Do you really think I will remain calm!? But I remain hiding behind my facade that I don't have something on him.
"What do you wanna talk about?" he asks with authority. Clearly doesn't take any bullshit from me.
I take a deep breath and face him with a straight face. "Whatever you think about me that I am enjoying the spotlight just because I beat your ass which you know is a hoax. Please, stop."
He raised his eyebrow and crosses his arms. Fudge! He looks so freaking hot right now!
"I'm not thinking about it, I'm not even bothered," he said which earn a raise in my eyebrow.
"Are you sure about that? Kasi sa pagkakaalam ko, you treated me as if I am your enemy!" I received a scoff from him, he even shrugs his head as if I said something funny.
"Look, I don't want a rift to one of the members. So whatever you have against me, stop it. I don't have any ill intentions or motives toward this team. I want this dance team to achieve the same goals that we all want, to win and to compete nationally and if we're lucky, to compete internationally,' I continued. "And I hope you do too."
He looks at me with a grim face bigla siyang pumikit at hinilot ang sentido ng kanyang ulo. He then nodded like he understand my sentiments.
"Okay. I have nothing against you, I'm just stressed these days because there is an upcoming competition this September and we need to prepare a choreography," he said looking straight at me in the eye.
"I can help. I have a lot of experience when it comes to competition," I offer genuinely.
He looks at me like he was solving me and it made me conscious. "I'll keep you updated. Go to the dance club tomorrow. We'll elect officers." he said then he nodded and left me.

Malaki ang ngiti kong pumasok sa Leones Village kung saan ako nakatira. It is a village for rich people kaya hanggang village gate lang ako whenever I come home. Bawal kasi pumasok ang mga tricycle or any vehicle na walang pass sa village na ito. The reason why I live here is because dito kami pinatira nang amo ni Mama. He owns this village and he has a huge estate here pero wala namang nakatira. So he gave it to my Mom kasi included kasi sa benefits niya ang housing, it was supposed to be a condo pero ito nalang daw ang binigay para may tao at may mag-alaga naman. Libre na nga tubig at kuryente namin eh. I've been living here for 5 years na with my Mom and my Lola.
Nasa kanto na ako papunta sa amin when I saw a huge truck unloading huge piles of boxes. Nakichismis naman ako ng kaunti at tiningnan ang dating ginagawang malaking bahay na ngayo'y tapos at malinis na. It was under construction before but now it looks like the owner move in. Nagagandahan nga ako sa bahay nila kasi it was modern contemporary design and I witness how it was developed, palagi ko kasing nadadaanan araw-araw.
I was about to walk away when I saw a glimpse of a man's back. Somehow it became familiar to me na para bang nakita ko na ang likod na 'yon. I just shrug at lalakad na sana when I heard a woman shout.
"Rush! Help your brother here!"
Napantig ang tenga ko at dali-daling tiningnan ang bagong bahay but I didn't see anyone. Yung mga nag-uunload lang ang nakita ko. Di kaya misheard lang yun? But it's still possible dahil para sa mayayaman naman tong village nato. There's no way?
