Aoyama is really fond of Jennifer and genuinely wants to be a good friend to her, even if he can go overboard with it most of the time. Jen does find him a bit "extra" when it comes to wanting to be her friend and she feels that he's trying too hard to do so and it can be annoying to her.
But also at the same time, knows that he means absolutely no harm to her and means well when he wants to be her friend, so she doesn't have anything to worry about, especially when there were times that he has helped her out when it looked like she needed some advice and even saved her a few times in the battlefield.
