Kidnapped

I crumbled to the soft grassy ground and layed there for a while. It was a refreshing feeling with the fresh grass touching my face. I closed my eyes briefly before opening them again when I heard the crunching of the leaves.

There was a shadow on the ground and someone was blocking the sunlight from me but I was too tired to pick my head up to see who it was. I closed my eyes again finally letting the darkness catch up with me. I could feel a pair of arms lift me up from the ground but by then I was already off into fairy land as I let myself get the sleep I had been depriving myself for weeks.

"No! No! Don't kill him please!" I begged the wolves as I saw them tear my father apart. Then the weirdest thing happened, the wolves turned to look at me, in the other nightmares they would never listen to me. They stared at me for a second before they came charging up to me and I awaited them.

The wolves started to blurr and then they disappeared, the pure black darkness left. "Sky!" I could hear someone shout and a musky pine smell, I can't exactly put it into words but it called to me. I opened my eyes and was met with a pair of hazel ones.Toby!

My first thought was what is he doing at my house? but when I looked around I realized I wasn't in my room. The walls were a dark blue and the bed was huge so I knew I was definitely not in my house. So my second though was that I was being kidnapped. Oh no! Wasn't humiliating me enough?

"Toby you know that my aunt will realize that i'm missing....eventually." I said calmly to distract him from my true intentions as I walked slowly over to the door. He looked at me like I had grown a second head. Damn he was onto me!

Screw talking just run! I ran over to the door but Toby got there before I could. "Please Toby let me go. I don't have anything. Trust me I am not worth kidnapping, someone else is a better candidate." I begged hopefully making him reconsider his victim choice.

"Wait, what? Kidnap you?" He asked as he laughed. Now I was confused, if I wasn't being kidnapped why was I here and why wasn't he letting me leave?

Toby doubled over in laughter as I glared at him there wasn't anything funny about this situation. I took advantage of the situation and went straight to grab the door knob. Just as I was about to turn it Toby got up and held the door close. There was no point in trying to open it, he was stronger than I was.

"Well if you're not kidnapping me why won't you let me leave?" I asked frustrated. He sobered up and his expression turned serious. "I just wanted to say that i'm really sorry for what I did."

"No you're not." I refused to believe his apology. "Sky I really am sorry. What can I do for you to believe me?" He asked desperately. "You can stay away from me." I stated turning the knob and getting out of the room before he could react.

"Sky wait!" He yelled at the top of the stairs. Stay! I heard the voice in my head say and as much as I wanted to leave I couldn't, it's as if my feet were glued to the floor. I heard him come down the stairs and soon enough he was in front of me.

"Please believe me, I am really,truly,deeply sorry for all the things that I have done to you. I have been an ass to you and I know I don't deserve it but will you please forgive me?" He begged looking into my eyes.

I sighed "Okay fine but can I go home now?" "I'll drive you." Toby offered but I shook my head in protest. "It's alright I can walk." I answered opening the door. I stepped out and looked from left to right, truth be told; I don't know where I am.

I heard a laugh behind me and I turned to see Toby leaning against the doorway with a smirk on his face and his keys in hand. "Don't know where you are huh?" He guessed still smirking. "Nope I know exactly where I am." I lied stubbornly. "Oh yeah, then where are you?" He asked.

"I'm in this place right here." I motioned around me.I had no freaking idea where I was, there were trees all around me but that didn't help me much though because there were trees around this town.

"Do you want me to give you a ride?" He asked knowing that I had no clue where I was. I nodded quietly and he led me to his car. We stooped in front of a sleek black car, I was about to open my door but Toby got it for me. "Thanks."

"You don't have to looked so surprised I can be a gentleman if I want to." He feigned hurt.. I got in without a word and he closed the door, went to the driver's side and started the car.

The drive was starting off quite awkwardly "How did you know?" I asked out of the blue, wondering how he had come to find out all of my recent problems. He looked at me confused "How did you know that I have sleeping problems?" I elaborated.

He turned back to looking at the road straight ahead, he was quiet for a few minutes. "Well the bags under your eyes tell a story." I self consciously traced a finger under my eyes "..and I heard you one night crying in your room for hours it seemed." He answered.

"What were you doing in my house?" I asked surprised at how calm my voice sounded. I should be freaking out but i'm not. Am I on drugs?

"That I can't answer." He replied and as much as I asked and asked over and over again he wouldn't tell me. I huffed "Okay fine, then how did you know about my dad?" I asked curiously.

"Oh look we're here." He stated and I looked out to see that we were at Aunt Linda's house.He got out of the driver's seat before he could answer the question. I got out with my arms folded across my chest, I was frustrated.

I glared at Toby before walking to the door and going inside to see Aunt Linda watching t.v. I smiled "Hey Aunt Linda."

"Oh hey sweetie so how was your date?" She asked her eyebrows suggestively. What date? "Linda it was great, wasn't it Sky?" I heard Toby reply behind me before putting an arm around my shoulder.

I looked at him and he looked back as if saying to go along with it. "Yeah Toby was such a gentleman." I said before giving him an 'you're going to explain this later look'.

My Aunt Linda smiled at us and awwed when Toby kissed my cheek. I could feel small sparks on my cheek and the heat radiating off his body. My cheeks reddened as I saw Aunt Linda look at me suggesting me to do something so I kissed his cheek too. Of course I had to raise myself on my tipy toe sand as I did so I whispered in his ear "Come to my room at night you have some explaining to do."

He seemed to hesitate at first but he nodded, all this done in less than a minute so my aunt wouldn't see through our bluff. I excused myself but not before hearing my Aunt Linda ask Toby about some threats to a so called pack. As I went up the stairs I wondered if they kept thing from me and I thought about what I've heard many people whisper.

What were they hiding? I shrugged, whatever it was, it was connected to this town and this forest. I looked out the window to see the dark forest illuminated with the moonlight, the forest that held so many secrets. I shivered at the fear it brought to me, I was scared of the unknown but at the same time determined to find out.
