The creation

Isolated to the outside population, a solitary lab sat in the distance. The lab was covered with maximum security, but why was that? Was it to keep everyone from coming inside, or was it to keep something in? Well, I guess you will have to keep reading to find out...

A deafening siren rang out throughout the high secured lab, signalizing that there had been a breach in the systems. Everything was down, and the scientists who were lurking around inside the lab doing research suddenly began to panic, running around frantically. Screams and shouting like a terrible murder had happened was all that was heard throughout the lab. Inside the lab, there were cages filled with chimpanzees, and some had grown sick. Not sick as in ill, sick as in infected. They were infected by bacterium called 'toxoplasma gondii', there was a new strain which made them turn into something unrecognizable into a monster.

Here are what the bacterium cause:

First step, they have a high fever and begin becoming sick. The next, they become confused and frightened as if they are not aware of what is going on. Finally, the last step they become brain-dead and hostile, eating any living thing in sight, passing the disease to the living orgasim that the infected blood cells have touched with open wounds.

Due to a malfunction in the system, these chimps escaped and began preying on unaffected chimpanzees and the scientists who were testing them. The scientists were advised to go to a secluded area, that the government have found and isolated themselves from the world.

The outbreak...

An alarm went off, causing a brunette teen, who looked around seventeen, to get out of her bed and get ready for the day ahead. She groaned as she turned off the blaring alarm and pulled off her sheets. Revealing her in her pyjamas. She got out of her bed, placing her feet on the cold laminated floor. "You better hurry up." Her mom called up the stairs, and she just flopped back on her bed, grabbing her phone and texting her best friend Adrian, making sure he was going to school too. She planted her feet on the floor once again and stood up, yawning.

Walking over to the Chester draws, she decided to pick out some clothes for the day. She grabbed a red over sized hoodie and some leggings, throwing them on and putting on her converse. She then picked up her backpack, which had all of her things thrown in from the days before, and walked out of her room.

"Anne, what time do you call this?" Her mom spoke as she met her at the top of the stairs. Anne sighed, "I got up, didn't I?" Anne spoke with an attitude towards her mother, walking into the bathroom and brushing her teeth and her hair, putting her hair in a low ponytail and letting the stray hairs fall down her face. She walked downstairs and got in the car. "I'll pick you up at the end of the day at three thirty." Her mother spoke up, looking through the rear view mirror. "I have a theatre club today, remember." She reminded her mother. "Right, I forgot," she spoke, beginning to pull out of the driveway. "I guess I can get some things done today then before I pick you up." Her mother added, but before Anne could hear her she had put her earphones in not wanting to hear whatever "old people" song was on the radio that her mom used to listen to as her mother always put on old hits. She knew her mom said something because she heard the muffled sounds of her voice. "Okay." She just said simply. For the whole ride to the school, her attention was pulled into her phone, messaging adrian he was her only friend in the school. There was muffled singing coming from her mother, who was enjoying the music booming from the radio. She sighed and turned her music up in her earphones. She once enjoyed singing along with her mother, but she no longer did that.

Soon enough, they arrived at the school she grabbed her bag and opened the door. "Have a good day. I lo-" her mom began to say, but she had already gotten out and had shut the door. Her mom sighed and drove off back home as she worked from home. Anne walked towards the entrance of the school, her earphones still in. Someone reached from behind her and pulled out one of her earphones. "Hey, stranger." A familiar voice sounded behind her. A smile grew on her face, and she pulled out the other earphone, coming to a halt and turning on her heel. "Adrian." She greeted the boy who had pitch black hair, he had his usual black bommer jacket on paired with a graphic t-shirt and some black cargo pants. She put her earphones away, taking the one Adrian had taken out of his hand. "Ready for another day in prison?" Adrian questioned with a smirk. "Of course." She said with a sarcastic tone. He let out a short chuckle as they both began walking once again inside the school.
