Destiny didn't like Monse like at all. Jamal seemed like a lazy person. Ruby seemed sweet as hell. But she didn't like any of them.

Now, their siblings on the other hand, they were different. That was her clan. Lukas Martinez, Jessie Turner and Maddi Finnie. Plus Mariana Gonzalez.

Moving on. Rio, grade A asshole with a soft spot towards Destiny. He didn't like Monse either. Whenever Rio was around, Destiny was right by his side. And whenever Destiny called him for help he was on his way. He was a big shot, with money. There's not 'romantic' between them. It's a brother-sister relationship.

Marcus Catalano, the ex boyfriend of Destiny Diaz. Now, before anyone makes any accusations, Marcus is great. The only reason they broke up was because Destiny wasn't ready for a full relationship.

Lukas Martinez, the best friend to Destiny. He was her safe haven. Whenever shit got crazy around the house, she'd be at Lukas', hiding in his room, away from Monse.

Jessie Turner, Destiny's ride-share. I'm kidding. That's Rio. Anyways, Jessie is the right hand girl. She's on the dance team with the rest of the girls.

Maddi Finnie, she's Destiny's homegirl. Maddi always finds herself tucked away in Destiny's room. Maddi wasn't sure about Rio, though.

Mariana Gonzalez, Destiny's supportive ass best friend. Rio's second favorite person of all time and that's saying something.

And finally, Destiny Diaz. She didn't know what it was but Monse just turns her the wrong way. Destiny gets the chance, she's silently cursing Monse with demons.

Destiny walks up to the party, which she was let into because of her well known Santo-ness.

All her friends were a year older than her so they were all here. "Have you talked to Rio today?" Mariana asks.

"Yeah." Destiny says as Lukas gives her a drink. "Thanks, Luke." "Of course."

The gang was outside. "Were you eyeing my girl, cabrón?" Destiny snaps her head up. "No. Good, no. I'm not into blondes." She hears her brother trying to talk Sad Eyes down.

"Hey, jackass, knock it off." Destiny says and Sad Eyes snaps his head to her. "All right, just don't tell el jefe."

The boss

"Get down and stop being an ass, now." Sad Eyes puts his hands up and jumps down.

There's a gunshot and Destiny ducks. "Shit!" "Go! Go! Go!" Lukas yells and they start running.

———

"You did what?!" Destiny yells. "Why Monse, Cesar? Why?" Destiny adds. "And why are you just telling me now if you already told Oscar?" "You working on a new painting?" Cesar asks, trying to change the subject. "I was. I'm out of paint. Don't change the subject!" Cesar shakes his head.

Destiny had paintings all over her wall.

"Fine. Whatever." Destiny says. "What the hell even is that?" Cesar asks, motioning to the painting. "It's supposed to be an eye with butterflies but I'm out of paint!" Cesar puts his hands up.

Destiny walks out of her room, stopping in her tracks. "What's wrong?" "What?" Rio laughs. "You never come by unless somethings wrong." "I can't come see my favorite girl without a reason?" Destiny gives him a look.

"Everythings fine, ma. Just business. I promise." Rio says. "And also..." He adds on and motions for her to follow so she does.

He opens the back of his G-Wagon and Destiny looks in. "You bought me more paint?" She asks and he smiles. "I did. And a new pallet and..." He walks to the back seat door. "New canvases." Destiny makes a pouty face. "And your posca markers." "Rio, it's a lot.. I don't-." "Shut up." "I'm shutting up. Thank you, Rio. It means a lot. Cesar's throwing shade at my current painting 'cause I ran out of paint."
