Chapter Fourteen: Troubles await

Grayson's POV

I sigh as I adjust my hair that I had to straighten this morning with the help of my mom and sister while my dad just laughed, he's been staying in the guest room a lot lately which has been....weird to say the least

"Oh my gosh Grayson you look so....interesting" Kourtney says causing me to laugh

"Thanks I appreciate that" I say causing her to laugh, i look over to see NiNi smiling at me and I give a small one back before turning away to see EJ dressed as Chad and my sister comes out in her Taylor outfit

"Wow...I did a great job with your hair Grayson" Gina says causing me to laugh a little and move her hand away

"I look stupid but hey I mean...this is the costume" I say with a laugh as we go and get into position, I notice some closeness between my sister and Ricky causing me to frown a bit

When did they get close

"We're all going to jump at the count of three ok" Red says and I awkwardly stand next to NiNi, I keep my eyes on the floor for a bit before looking up and jumping in que with the camera

We do retakes as the L messes up and everyone keeps jumping at the wrong time til we just take a break

I sit on my phone when suddenly look over to see Gina and Ricky talking but I decide to leave them alone, I look over to see NiNi looking at me and I turn away and smile when I see a notification from Alexa

We've been getting closer since the dance and I feel like we're friends who occasionally flirt, we're obviously not going to date since she's a senior and I'm not interested in her like that

"Hey Grayson" I hear causing me to look up and see NiNi, I turn my phone off and smile a little

"Hey NiNi" I say with less excitement and I see her frown a little

"I know things are awkward between us since the dance but i still wanna ask like are you...mad at me or something" She asks nervously and I sigh

"No....just got upset when you said you were done with dating...I thought I had a chance but I guess I don't so I'm leaving you alone" I say causing her to look at me shocked

"Wait why I mean...we can still be friends right" NiNi asks and I shrug

"I guess...but I need some time to get over you" I say before walking off and leaving her speechless

Time skip

I dance playfully with the dancers, I look to the door and see Gina and Ricky walking into the room, I frown my eyebrows at the two

When did they get close and why are they close

I decide to leave it alone and talk to her later about it, I sit down and look at the time to see that Carlos and Miss Jenn are late as hell

"Where are they" I ask and everyone kind of shrugs, I try and text Carlos but soon I get a text from Alexa saying she wants to hang out after school

I smile and say sure before closing my phone to see Kourtney in front of me as well as my sister

"Whats going on with you and NiNi" My sister says causing me to frown

"What...nothing" I say confused and they look at each other before looking at me

"Really because that weird tension at the photo shoot and you barely talking to her or looking at her says something" Kourtney says and I sigh

"All I told her was that I need to get over her...she's chosen to give up on us so I'm doing the same..simple plus I made a new friend named Alexa who's super cool" I say causing their eyes to widen
